Very bad update for me. Now I'm no longer able to join my favorite coin tournament and win coins. I sometimes during free time create quick real time 1v1 games and some of them take ages to start. In the meantime I make turns in other games or watch youtube and sometimes get carried away and once I'm back - I'm booted.
This update is the perfect disguise for players that are on/off of the game, the issue with this update is it doesn't reward long-term reliability.
However,
This will vastly improve the nature of real-time games for open games and help the ecosystem of the game much more i.e more players can play once they've proven their reliability over the past 100 games. The education of surrendering and making that the habit instead of booting.
Only negative scenario I can think of is if someone has 20 MD games or so, gets booted after vacation and suddenly is riddled with a high boot rate. But then it should not take long to take it down again if ou are usually reliable.
It’s an good update, and I do set boot prequisites to at least 30% in my Diplomacy games as of now Edit: I didn’t noticed that I was double posting so I edited the other one filled with empty text
Missed opportunity to add a setting that makes it so a surrender does not require either 0% or 100% players' acceptance; would be pretty good to have options such as "entire team must accept", "50% of other players must accept" and whatnot. Would certainly make it less hurtful to bootrates if surrenders weren't a chore to go through.
