Random move order is part of the template. If they like the template, either they know it's random move order, or they just say they like it and have never actually played it.

I actually think people do voted for this templates because they liked it as the 1v1 template, which is a good one. I do believe that the majority didn't took into account that the same random move order would raise the luck factor for team games as well. People didn't submitted a cyclic version, so we have to deal with it.

I do think that you can't underestimate the luck factor on this particular template and ultimately less skill is needed. In general i don't think random move order should be used in team games. In certain 1v1 games it's acceptable. I can't remember that i ever saw a team template that was better due to random move order. It just reduces the skill, which means that templates like this 2v2 Guiroma aren't good suited for high level competitions like CL.

Agree with Edge %100. Doesn't really matter for this season, but I would like to see best templates possible next season. I think the template panel has the best chance to make sure we get there.

If the template is nominated why can't the panel offer cycle on it? Their goal should be best templates possible and not just say "nobody nominated it". While true, it doesn't help. Give them the tools instead of saying they didn't have the tools so deal with it.

Because cyclic move is not objectively better. There are people who prefer random.

Was the template (Guiroma 2v2) in past seasons cyclic?

I don't know about earlier seasons but last time (CL9) it was random move order, just like Guiroma 1v1.

Asking the template panel to change the templates is backwards thinking. The whole point of the nominations is that someone likes the template and nominated it - so why would the template panel change that template?

If you don't like the templates that the panel had to choose from, the obvious solution here is to give them more to choose from and then they can have that debate. Complaining now that you don't like the templates that were nominated AND voted on (Guiroma 2v2, British Raj 1v1 for example) is lazy.

I agree with Bonsai.

The panel shouldn't change the settings. It's up to the people to submit the templates.

"absolutely no one" is exaggerated. Results in the Predictions Thread show 6 people predicting Lynx to relegate!

Yeah following my prediction, my opinion is very well respected in the community. I have built up a bit of a "mystic mac" reputation for getting the GG placing right last season before the self-inflicted fall. So of course you will have a few others, hearing my logic and predicting them to relegate also.
