Two tournaments have started!
Let's have a look:
-
2v2 Final EarthEntrants:
Lynx Kicorse + Mostly Harmless
M'Hunters AI + JeyKey
ONE! Suschel + Milly
Outlaws Edge + Terence Kill
WG Super Smoove + Clivan
Statisticians Math Wolf + Nauzhror
SNinja Rakleader + Hergul
All these teams have one big thing in common:
I know the first player, but i don't know the second player (or barely). This goes for all teams, except for Statisticians.
So, making these predictions, i'll only base it off the knowledge i have on the player listed first.
Lynx: Kicorse is an outstanding player. I'd say he's the best player in this whole tournament. That's why i predict Lynx to be first on this one.
M'Hunters: AI has proven himself over the past two years to be a very consistent player. Looking at the competition, i'd say he has a lot to prove this season, but i believe he can. I'd put the M'Hunters team at a 4th place, but with the opportunity to take second.
ONE!: This might sound negative, but a team consisting of Suschel and Milly doesn't strike me as the best. I hope they prove me wrong, but so far i'd put them at 6th place.
Outlaws: Edge is a good player. A very good player when it comes to team-games too. A third place would be my guess. Not because Edge or Terence are bad; just because the other players are funnier to talk about. If Outlaws manage to get first here, i'll send them my MoD-underwear. Whether they like it or not
WG: Smoove may be a part of the Boot Brothers, but when he doesn't boot, he's an excellent team player. And by excellent, i mean outstanding. Try voice chatting for 15 minutes with him; you'll end up spending the better part of your day discussing that one pick in that one spot that could've done that one thing. An obvious second if Kicorse and Mostly Harmless don't mess up!
Statisticians: This is the team i know. I can't imagine them not having a fight over numbers and statistics, but together they should be able to achieve some good stuff. That being said, the competition is fierce. Math Wolf has proven to be a very consistent player, but not one to cause the biggest upsets. Nauzhror has caused a lot of upsets, but has a booting reputation; even if that sounds weird coming from me, at least he didn't get banned (looking at you min34). I'll place them at 5th for now but hope they surprise us.
SNinja: Rakleader. Right. He won the last seasonal. He performs great in tournaments, on the MDL, on the ladders. But then again, he's French. Obvious last place.

3v3 EuropeEntrants:
Lynx Hades + Dom365 + Krunx
M'Hunters AI + Georgie + AJ Chiller
ONE! Beren + Tornado + Rheumakay
Outlaws Platinum + Stales78 + Bohun
WG Super Smoove + ChrisCMU + Great Expanse
Statisticians Math Wolf + Nick + BMT
SNinja Rakleader + Waddles + banner
This is where it gets interesting: 3v3's are where you can win or lose a lot of points. Let's have a closer look; these are my thoughts:
Lynx: Hades comes out of retirement, Dom365 is back and the recently promoted Krunx makes an entry. I'm sorry to say i have low confidence in this team. Apart from Krunx they seem like risky players to put together on 3v3 europe. But to each their own. In my book they're finishing 4th.
M'Hunters: With a last-minute substitution, we get the team of AI, georgie and AJ Chiller. While we know georgie has his trashtalk ready, i doubt georgie or AJ Chiller have their skills ready for this tournament. AI is a good 3v3 eu player, but does he have what it takes to carry his team to a good score? I predict them to finish 6th. Prove me wrong, guys.
ONE!: Beren returns once again to show his skill on 3v3 Europe. His two teammates aren't regarded as top players on the template, so this one's hard to predict. Carrying a team is hard, but maybe these two teammates are the new EU-stars we just didn't hear about. A neutral third place is where i put them.
Outlaws: Platinum retired, Stales is a pretty unknown player and the rumors go Bohun doesn't speak English and has yet to play a single game on 3v3 EU. Given that Platinum isn't a star player, nor a good player, nor a decent player, nor a player to reckon with, nor a non-boot risk, nor a player, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and put them at last place: 7th.
WG: Smoove, Chris and GE on 3v3 Europe. I like at least one player on that team. As Smoove is all about communication, i have no other choice than to put this team as first. Though ONE! could show them some tough love, as well as Lynx, Smoove has proven himself multiple times on the template he's an expert on. At least it's not 3v3 GL ;)
Statisticians: Math Wolf is as consistent as a mathematical constant on 3v3 EU. Not the biggest upsets, no big losses. His teammates aren't as famous in the community, but let's hope the three statisticians can cause some mayhem. With an early substitution, their credibility slightly lowers, but that doesn't mean they pose a real threat to the teams that are predicted to finish high and dry. I'll say fifth place for now, but i hope it's higher!
SNinja: Again the Frenchie Rakleader makes his way onto the scene. This time though, he's with Waddles and Banner. To be fair, i don't know Banner, but Rak and Waddles like 3v3 europe as far as i remember and they were both good at it. That being said, Rak's French. But to show SNinja some love, i predict them to finish 2nd.
Please note that all this is based on pure facts and scientific evidence.
