When I try to load my SVG file I keep getting this error saying I have group objects that are named as a territory (I tried it that way at first before finding the Combine function). I selected them and ungrouped them and still got the error, deleted the objects all together and still got the error.

How can I find these issues and remove them? I don't want to start the whole map over, but I cannot find them anywhere and the website will not let me load my SVG.

Did you start from nothing, or use an svg file from the internet? Those sometimes have layers, and certain layers you can't select, nor can you ungroup them.

Were I in your shoes I would select everything (ctrl A) and hit ungroup about a dozen times. That should break down all groups present and allow you to move forward. Beyond that I can't help you as I've not experienced similar problems.

I started blank file. Imported image (linked), then started drawing on top of image.

Chris, make sure the image itself isn't named as a territory. I had that happen in my early maps when I was tracing over an image.

I did that about 30 times (ctrl-A and ungroup). Finally worked, thanks. I wish there was a little more information in the map making section on how to make use of the path functions to do these things.
