What does this mean? Why can't I access single or multiplayer mode?

Are you running on linux? Try re-starting your browser.

I had that problem a few hours ago. It started working for me again about 15 minutes later though.

It's working this morning, and yes I'm using ubuntu. That doesn't usually have any affect on it though.
