Somebody already had a similiar idea, but it got lost somewhere, so I will restart it now.

I will create a league of 5 managers. The managers are no players, they are no generals, they only manage their teams, buy and sell players. They will have at least two teams of 3 players to manage, but only a certain amount of Warlight currency. With that currency they have to decide what players they will buy and to which team they will distribute them. The manager that wins the most games with his teams will win the league.

So to get started i will probe the general interest in this game mode. I will need 5 Warlighters to be the managers and minimum of 30 players, willing to be shifted around, bought and sold and playing games.

With Heyheuhei there is already the first Starplayer ready to make his manager proud.

So let me know if you want to participate, either as manager, or player.

Just to clarify, the managers don't give players in-game orders right? They just decide who your teammates will be?

What kinds of games? 1v1, team, ffa, mixed?

Also, do you have any idea how many games you would want to start at a time, and so on?

And yeah, I saw the two teams of 3, but it was prefaced with "at least" which might mean more types and such.

Yes. No in game orders, nothing. At the beginning Players will roughly be divided into 3 or 4 groups by me. Worth 1 to 4 Warlight Currency Units.
With each won game, managers will collect at least 1 Currency unit, which they can spend on New Players.


Players themselves might be prone to changes in their worth, according to the won games they are part of, getting the MVP of the game award etc. I have to ponder over the details for that.

So are all games 3v3 team games then? With only 'league games' counting in the tallies I presume?

sounds fun. is this then a spectator sport? no/light fog?
maybe run that betting league / stockmarket idea at the same time?

Sounds kind of fun. How many games per player at a time do you envision? I've got my games cut down to 2 on the 2v2 ladder right now and it's kind of liberating, I don't want to get pinned down to 10 games at a time :)

Also, what settings? Strategic 1v1? Varying settings?
