I'm working on a large map right now, and I've decided I should use a formula to calculate the value of each bonus, and then tweak it afterwards. It would take far too long to do any other way. Can anyone give me examples of formulas that you've used to balance maps?

That formula was just an experiment, it doesn't work properly on large bonuses.
The best formula is your instinct.

Zing, I have used the formula bytjie advocated in that thread for my maps and feel it has worked well. If you check out Ireland or Massachusetts you can get a feel for the results.
