So whats your guys opinion on players that refuse to end a clear tie game in hopes of the other player just quitting. For instance I'm in a game right now on the scrabble map. We both have the same amount of armies and income and yet he refuses to end the game. http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2589905 So whats your opinion on games like these?

There is no such thing as a tie game.

My point was that neither of us had the advantage or any ways to beat the other.

Well my issue seems to have resolved it self. The player thankfully decided not to turn it into a game of endurance.

your 400 could weaken his 300+. then if u keep doing that he eventually loses that territory and u probably would have won if you took Jousted you would get +8 and he would lose -11. It would be hard to get to that point but it's very much possible to do that. And Richard Sharpe is right, there are no ties, just draws.

"There is no such thing as a tie game."

You obviously don't know some of the maps around here.

Any way, I'd suggest not joining real-time games with maps like that. If the opponent refuses to vote to end, then at least you're not forced to surrender or skip a night.

It was a tie at turn 11.

Turns 12-27 was just pulling up the rears.

Tun 28 was a last ditch desparation attack after the opponent refused to vote.

My thoughts on tie games? Don't play on maps where it could ever reasonably happen.

That's a very poor map in a lot of ways, one of which you have clearly showcased here.

Funny thing is, once blue attacked he ensured his demise.

Next turn would have been 504 and 400; 504 attacks killing 302 and losing 280, leaving 224 and 98 respectively.
Next turn would have been 294 and 168; 294 attacks killing 178 and losing 118, leaving 176 and 0. Game over.

Perrin, can you post a link to a game that ended in a real tie that wasn't on a map with a linear layout like the one above?

Frankly, I don't believe you.

Now, if you're talking about stalemates in FFA (3 player in particular), or because the players don't pursue any other options, then sure. But a real tie, when neither player has an option to win the game, as was the case before one player threw the game in the linked game, I'd like to see.

Yeah, I said a non-linear map. Clearly the map from the OP, Duel, and some other maps can end in stalemates. I don't believe that most maps can.
