Anywhere I can find more about the Beizer tool? I've been doing my maps with the pencil tool(Freehand) and then re-arranging the nodes... I would like to know if it is better. :D Thanks.

Bezier is most definitely better. Makes far cleaner lines. My best recommendation to learn it (and all the Inkscape tools) is to simply play around with it. Nothing teaches so well as practical experience.
