Hello guys, I want to make a poll so you can vote who's the best player nowadays. I know if I come up with a list people well get offended and I might forget people and everyone well go berserk and hate me forever.

So simply nominate a player on this thread. Only one rule, you can't nominate yourself! After nominations, I Will make a voting poll

I nominate the AI. I mean, getting stars on all the single player levels does require quite a bit of luck. Even level 1 can fail you sometimes, and that gives YOU an advantage!

Define best. My logic is if I had to bet my hard earned money on any player on here to win a particular game, who would it be? But is that game Strat ME or a random template (assume %0-16 luck, strategic type settings)?

I nominate Summer (she's is at or near top on every ladder and has been a while, plus can play a variety of formats...which the real time #1 shows).

TWM - I suggest you do a poll that makes you rank people 1-n and not just who is #1. That way you will get a ranking of sorts that is more accurate than simply who is best.

Best player nowadays means a player who is on fire recently, someone who seems like the best player overall (all templates, not just medium earth)

The best "nowadays" should be competing or have competed lately near or at the top of at least a couple ladders. Here's who we have that have been on top or at least top 3 of one in the past few months:

This is just a brief skim, not completely accurate. But the players that have had success on at least 3 ladders recently are:
Timinator, Summer, ThewarligthMaster, Gnuffone

Gnuffone is retired from warlight, and Gui and Myhand have not played the ladders much at all recently and have made no show of their skill other than their legendary status.

Therefore, Summer, Thewarlightmaster, and Timinator have the most claim as the best player nowadays.

Also something I wanted to add: Summer, TheWarlightMaster, and Timinator are the overall best 1v1 players if you include all 1v1 templates in the game in my opinion. However, if we are just talking about Strategic 1v1, Dead piggy gets my vote. I analyzed one of his games tonight in our clan forum, and I was stunned by his play. Each turn is 100% perfect. He was playing a top 10 player in the game, and the top 10 player made a few small errors. Piggy's only slight error was an order of a 3/4 pick, and it did not affect the game since he got both. his play was perfect though, not even one tiny mistake where I could say: That was not optimal. In my opinion, Dead piggy understands the Strategic 1v1 template more than anyone in the history of warlight.
