I jut had an idea and thought it might be kinda fun. So every clan (that chooses to compete) nominates a player. This player should be their best at Strategic 1v1. Then after all clans have submitted their player, they play in a Round Robin Tournament! The winner becomes the Clan Champion!

Well, we already do that in clan league. It is only 7-8 clans at a time, but basically it. Also, i don't think a clan champion should be just the winner of a single RR. Lord Sved went 6-0 in the #1 RR, but VIW got relegated from A, so they lacked the depth of other top clans.

I think that's the point Chris, V.I.W couldn't win the clan league, but their Champion could win this.

As i have kept thinking on this I have decided that if we were to do this that eah clan would enter their 2 champions. Each player submitted will be put into 2 pools (no 2 clanmates in the same pool) they will play a round robin game and we will take the top 10 players from each game. Also non clan players can compete in an "open" division where they will play in their seperate round robin pool whoever their are only 5 players from their moving on. Then the 20 players from clans compete in a round robin with the 5 loners....... These numbers arent exact but this is just an idea.

Now your idea is even more similar to the 20 league...

Why not do a giant single elim with an even group from each clan. Like 6-8 players. Huge RRs are a big commitment, especially with the other clan events going on.

I just did one for 2v2 recently. Each clan has up to 3 teams

Chris, I'm not sure exactly how your idea works, but single elims don't show skill as well as RR. Think about it. If you're running a strat ME single elim, and dead piggy gets paired with gui first round, is the 2nd best player going to get 2nd in the tournament?

I agree , but RRs take a while and personally I avoid them. Others may as well. A better method is to manually slot like nations league into a bracket so no clan mates meet each other until last possible moment

Also RRs have limit of 20 and there are way more than 20 clans

My suggestion (for Cro since he started this) is to get 4 players from each clan that wants to play and put them in a march madness style bracket so no clan mates are in the same region. You can call it march madness clan style and do it every year around this time. I can do it if cro does not want to

You would need 16 clans to have 4 from each, but you could add an additional round to accommodate all

you could also have seeding based on something to help ensure that the best players don't lose too early...

Interesting but again in warlight you don't have something as drastic as a 1 seed and 16 seed how would I formulate that?

And the way i had the pools set up would be that you would never play our clan mate until the final RR assuming 2 people of the same clan made it

In nations cup, we voted/ranked the teams. If you wanted to seed like that, you'd do the same. I would suggest a google spreadsheet, have some well known leaders rank all the players (no need for everyone to rank). Let the spreadsheet tally it up.

Anyway, I might as well do it as I am giving all the ideas :) You could do your RR as well though, they are totally different ideas and both have value IMO. If you do the RR, see if Summer wants to play for WG.

voting idea sounds good... If anyone makes the March Madness thing (or maybe May Madness to give you some more time to think) let me know and I'll try and get some players to join from USW.

Nah more people know you Chris and you are better at using spread sheets I'll let you make the March Madness and if I decide to do the RR thing it will be later on (months)

And Icelandic Turtles will sign up for the March Madness and I have 4 players ready too

so Chris are you actually planning on making this?
