Hey everyone, the SNinja clan is hosting an NCAA style bracket tournament. This is how it works - It starts out as 4 round robin tournaments (West, Midwest, East, South) with 10 teams each for the regular season. Interested teams will contact me on this thread for an invite. The top 8 teams from each of round robin tournaments are invited to participate in a single elimination tournament similar to the NCAA basketball bracket. The round robin tournaments will also determine the Seeds (1-8). This is meant mostly to be a clan war (interested clans can have up to 4 teams, one for each round robin), but independent teams are invited to participate as well. The settings will be 3v3 on the Snow mountains map with superbonuses, 2 picks each, wastelands, 10% luck, reinforcement, gift, and blockade cards. Edit: Settings changed to 4 pools of 8 players. Games will be 1v1, 4 picks instead of 2.

Sounds interesting, id like to join although a 10 person round robin might take a while.

ten TEAM round robin with teams of three... and you want to do four of these... and THEN start the tournament... This'll be going on until 2017.

wasn't ChrisCMU going to do something similar?

Yes it may take a little while. I am open to suggestions to improve things, however. I was going to feed 4 teams into each of the 4 divisions originally, but the bracket doesn't get the NCAA feel to it with only 16 teams. I may still have to go that way if there isn't enough interest.

I say dont make it a team thing, as for seeding you will probably need a panel of people to decide the seeds. Any warlight way of determining them would take a long time.

Thank you for your input Materpierround, but I think there is room for more than one event, especially one that isn't strictly a clan event. I was mostly using clans as a way of getting players. I am actually participating in Chris's Clan League, and it is very well put together.

Jefferspin, I think your point is well taken. Maybe making this an individual tournament would simplify things a bit (and reduce the number of players needed). I will make the following changes: 1v1, same settings except 4 picks instead of 2. I will keep the 4 round robin tournaments, but reduce the size to 8 each to determine the seeds. The number of players needed now is only 32.

Yes, the seeding will be determined by the round Robin. I am just assigning people to the regions based on when they sign up. If you want to be in a certain region, though, let me know and I will give it to you.

Yeah, not interested in a non-standard map, 10 way RR, etc. And why team games? that is a lot of games with 3v3 RRs and up to 4 teams.

NM, I will just do my 1v1 style one, this is much different.
