There's two ways filter algorythms can go from now on:
-Not upgrading quickly enough and making plenty mistakes with false positives as well as letting quite a few things that should be filtered pass, or; -Upgrading quickly enough to identify basically everything, in which case we aren't too far from an Orwellian-capable filter that would most definetely be a big hit in authoritarian countries - maybe not the EU, but certainly possible to have it reach, say, China.
Overall, thinking you can assign bots to do this is just stupid.
Perhaps the worst part is that essentially nobody on the Internet actually seems to want that, and most of it's defense isn't much more than devil's advocates saying "it isn't that bad" rather than admitting that it's still bad either way. Says plenty about how the European Union tends to behave - independent and detached from Europe, largely out of touch with the youth. All under a very thick layer of willingness to take in lobbies, the copyright lobby - perhaps the most disgusting of them all - included.
Makes the US's Net Neutrality look tame...
