Plenty of space for new players to join! The previous post is showing past players only. Anyone can join the league.

Currently have 50 new or returning players for the restart. Thanks guys. Plenty of room for new players. It's an easy but strategic template, and plenty of fun for new players as well as the pros.

And for people who haven't made Group C in the past huddy?

Tournaments have now been created. There will be a total of 5 tournaments with a maximum of 12 players in each. Boot time is 3 days with maximum of 5 games at once, vacations are allowed (see league rules for full details). Check the opening posts on this thread for full details including the small earth strategic template we will be using.

@ s1gmoyd I am working on doing a more extensive ranking system to allow points to be scored down to Group E rather than just down to C, but I will only introduce it following the restart.
The current system is simply going to be used as a way to seed past players in an attempt to spread good players across the equal groups for a better chance of starting in Group A.

A thought for extending the rankings would be to simply change the current system so wins in Group A are worth 8 points, Group B worth 4 points, Group C worth 2 points, Group D worth 1 point, and Group E worth 0.5 points.

Max points per season would be:
Group A: 9 wins = 72 points
Group B: 9 wins = 36 points
Group C: 9 wins = 18 points
Group D: 9 wins = 9 points
Group E: 9 wins = 4.5 points

Only your results from the last 3 seasons would count. Following the restart, all players points would be reset to zero, allowing the winner of Group A in the next regular season to be the first player to officially top the rankings.

Invites haven't been sent yet. But you can check out the tournament links to review settings. I'll get onto sending invites in a couple of days.

Invites are in the process of being sent. I am sending them in the following order:

1. New players ~ using a randomizer to distribute them across the 5 groups ~~ Invites sent!

2. Returning players (unseeded) ~ using a randomizer to distribute them across the 5 groups ~~ Invites sent!

3. Returning players (seeded) ~ distributed according to seeding across the 5 groups
Group 1: 1st, 10th, 11th, and 20th seeds
Group 2: 2nd, 9th, 12th, and 19th seeds
Group 3: 3rd, 8th, 13th, and 18th seeds
Group 4: 4th, 7th, 14th, and 17th seeds
Group 5: 5th, 6th, 15th, and 16th seeds

Note: There will be a total of 20 seeded players (4 in each group)

Ok, all currently unseeded players, and all new players, have been invited.

As there are highly ranked players who have not got back to me with their intention to participate, it is possible that seedings may change, therefore, no seeded players will be invited at this stage.

Invitations to seeded players will be sent two weeks before tournaments are due to start to allow as much time as possible for latecomers to receive a seeding. (April 17th will be the cut-off, with any player asking to participate after that date automatically considered to be unseeded)
