Hello Warlight, is it possible to have a function in game where you can remove AI's and team up players who are on their own in 2v2v2v2's and so on.

Player
AI

V

Player
AI

Remove the ai's and stick the 2 remaining players in a team

etc

??

It is certainly not possible now and I don't see why it should be.

Team A: A1 strong and A2 weak
Team B: B1 strong and B2 weak
Team C: C1 strong and C2 strong

A2 and B2 go away and get booted or they surrender because they are losing --> AI

Then A1 and B1 became a new team and can fight back against team C (before, they were losing). Very fair...

Actually this would be a good feature, but it would have to be made so that you couldn't merge teams after pre-set number of turns. It would mean less need for voting to end on the first turn after an early boot.

Because i was playing a match earlier 2v2v2v2v2 on a new york map and my team mate didn't respond so he ended up getting booted, someone from another team got booted..at the time i was with an AI and this other player was with an AI...

I had thought that if there was a feature where you could stick the two single players together to form a team and remove the ai's it would prevent the need for vote to end like "SillyPerson" mentioned.

Instead of watching AI's be absolutely useless, you could actually team up with someone who is actually there and functioning with a brain.

Even if someone was in a "losing" position, it would give them a second chance sort of speak, I am sure a player would rather want a working brain player than a AI making random unorthodox moves.

:D

During the game, not before or after...DURING!! with no set settings ..If a guy is booted and doesnt respond within a certain time period, then the AI's are removed and the still alive player can work along with a player who also has or had an AI.

I also think this is a bad idea, mainly for two reasons;

First I don't like changing the rules (teams) during a game, I feel this is kinda obvious (and selfish). Rules shouldn't be changed during a game imo.

Second, as Memele said, what id the AIs are of unequal strength. an AI with 50 income is much better than one with 5, removing them might actually be bad for the player who's on team with the 50 income AI. It would simply not be fair.

Never mind the fact that some players would figure out a way to manipulate this feature to their advantage. There have already been accusations of people farming hundreds of games with numerous alts so people go to incredible lengths to get cheap victories.

Never mind the potential for additional positional intelligence in a fogged game

Sorry people, it was only an idea..But hopefully you can see my point i was trying to get across...thinking about some sort of logic...

Justifying this quote:
"Second, as Memele said, what id the AIs are of unequal strength. an AI with 50 income is much better than one with 5, removing them might actually be bad for the player who's on team with the 50 income AI. It would simply not be fair. "

The ai's will be removed...if someone had an ai with 50 and it got removed..it would make the game more even and it may make the low income team mate much better because he or she would have to work harder, if you work harder, you get the rewards..I am not trying to easy the game and get cheap victories...i just thought of the idea to see if it would be more useful with players working together if someone got booted or something.

Yes it would sound like its unfair removing an ai with 50 income but some Ai's aren't efficient enough towards their team mates...

to prevent any manipulation, the computer automatically puts the players together and removes the ai's!!

The question is, did they start as players or AI?

If it was a player who was boot, then replacing them once they turn into an AI would be impractical because of the way WarLight is set up. The game is registered to that players profile, so replacing him with another player midway would mean that slot counts for two players.

One of the reasons you don't have the option to delete your WL account is that games that are connected to your account are never deleted (I'm oversimplifying it, but imagine it working that way).

The player who is booted (i.e. turned into an AI) still has the possibility of having the game counted as a win, provided his teammate can carry him through the game. Removing the original players ID in the game would probably require a lot of reprogramming and wouldn't be worth the effort, especially since the easier solution is to set prerequisites that weed out those who are likely to be boot.

Now if the said player started as an AI and you wanted to invite a player, you may just want to start a new game :P

Just do a make-shift team with them through private chat, while the cards will be separated, you're still able to make decisions as a team. (although it would require more talk as you wouldn't know where they were, but it's better than nothing in most cases.)
