Just a couple things that I think would make this game better, in my opinion.

First I think that along with colors color patterns should be an option, to allow for more players in one round and a more interesting map.

Second, I think one of the possible settings should be for teams that can be changed during the game by players, and to be allowed to add and delete and join and leave teams while the game's still going. Mainly for diplos.

First: I can almost feel the headaches I'd get from seeing a variety of patterns in a variety of colours, spread across 3200 territories(!). It's not a pleasant feeling.
