After discussing with TBest and a few other players about the future of CL, TBest has told me he plans to step back if not step down in his role for future Clan Leagues. While we're still in CL11, I felt it would not be too early to at least discuss this, so the transition between seasons will be smooth.
I have expressed interests to TBest in taking the reigns of the league from him as far as a leadership perspective is concerned. I have several ideas to improve clan league as I am sure many of you have. My desired role is as more of a manager and less as a person to decide the rules and formats of future Clan Leagues.
Some of the things I hope to implement include :

The return of schedules and proper substitutions
I think this is the biggest thing that will help CL. I am currently in discussions on a basic CLOT, that while not being as extensive as either of Deadman's CLOT's will at least provide scheduled games as well as a substitution system.
If this can't be accomplished I will individually create games as I did in division C of last CL. (This will severely limit the amount of work I will do elsewhere though.
The return of the CL panel
Running CL is a lot of work, and is too much for individual people to deal with, so I would like to make a panel very similar to pre-CL8, so that tasks can be properly delegated and formats/schedules/template selection/etc. be managed. If you would like to volunteer for this panel, please let me know and I will work on accommodating you. Please note that this is not a suggestion panel, so if you're not willing to at least put a little work in it would be appreciated if you would not volunteer. Suggestions can be provided via the suggestion forum.
Making my style of score sheet standard for this CL and any onward.
This will include programming in easy to update scoring, charts, interesting statistics and many other features. If you have any ideas for charts or statistics you'd like me to keep up with, please let me know and I'll see if I can implement it.

My overall goal is mainly to streamline the process and eliminate the large work load CL has been over the past several seasons to at least some extent. I would like to note I will not make any changes to the processes of how rules are followed or the panels that are responsible for those the enforcement of those rules. The ethics committee and Audit Panel will both be retained.

I volunteer.
I have no problem with this;but, imho, I think it is better to have this done through vote of all clan leaders(of clans that will be participating in CL12).

I'm gonna have to disagree. All I'm looking is for volunteers to help manage the league. There's no need for the clans to vote, as it would only lengthen the process and make people less likely to volunteer.

If any clan wants their say im how things will go they can find a volunteer willing to help, voice any concerns to the ethics committee or audit panel, or suggest something when I get the suggestion forum made.

Agreed, there's enough room for clans to voice their concerns, suggestions, complaints and anything else. Voting doesn't add anything and would probably result in having at maximum one capable person from a clan, even if multiple very capable people are from it. People will make it about what clan the volunteers are from instead of their capabilities.

I'm up for volunteering.

I think your general idea is very good and I hope you will find a motivated group of people who are willing to help out with this.

I think that's a good idea at this point. There is a lot of streamlining possible in the process I think. Meanwhile, ethics/audit has worked out reasonably well so far and keeping the rules and organization separate is generally a smart choice to avoid conflicts of interest.


With respect to the clans and a clan vote, I also think your current approach is very good.
I personally think it would ideally be good to have a vote of approval/confidence by the clans of the full panel once complete. This would indicate that the majority of the clans in clan league agrees with this change and wants to support it, giving you a clear mandate to make the necessary changes going forward. However, this will likely be a formality anyway.
Since it's about the practical organization and not rule making, I don't think a general "election" would be appropriate and everyone who wants to volounteer and has a reasonable track record should be welcomed with open arms.

Currently working on the CL12 sheet, as soon as that is complete, I'll get the ball rolling.

Is it already decided that TBest is out and Cowboy in? Decided by who? What if we get more posts like I take over CL from TBest?

I am no way against Cowboy, but before organising a panel some decision on leader should be made by clans.

I doubt anyone would want to take over besides Cowboy :p

On a serious note, leaving it to clans has proven to be a dreadful decision in the past. It's time-consuming and drama-inducing. Instead of clans feeling the need to vote, clans should be happy that someone steps up to take the ungrateful job of organizing. If someone else wants to take over, they can just volunteer to join the panel, right?

I'm not really trying to "take over Clan League."

I'm just trying to push it in the right direction, and I'm willing to help whoever wishes to also run the league, which is why I have pushed for a panel to run it, rather than just a single person.

I understand your point Nemo, but I don't think its a likely issue. Long-term volunteering is a royal pain. Most active players in CL participants should have a decent idea of what to expect, i.e. pain. So an outsider would be the only likely candidate for an attempted takeover. Assuming they know CL exists and just unilaterally sign up their clan or make their own tourney instead. So what you're worried about could happen, but I think its pretty unlikely.

Cowboy's helped me out with some game analysis before. Volunteering can be stressful. So someone was fooli- err, kind enough to steal Cowboy's spot and add back some years of projected lifespan, I'd be very grateful. :3

Voting is not going to create drama and tbh, even if all of the panel (excluding me) doesn't want a vote, I will personally ask Audit panel to organize a clan leaders' vote.

What would the clan vote even be on?
Who would lead clan league? I doubt anyone would step up as a leader if they knew they had to go through red tape every time.
Whether to create a clan league panel or who will be on it?
I'll ignore this as this is my plan going forward. Having the league ran by one person is a bad idea, and will always be a bad idea. As far as who will be on it? I've said there is plenty of ways for people to alert me or the audit panel of their displeasure of who is on the panel.
