In line with the previous update RE: Addressing Booting, I propose you limit people from playing Quickmatch until their bootrate is acceptable (e.g., <10%).

Sounds like a good idea, however they may be filtered from all open games in the worst possible scenario.

definetly no. you would risk that people would get stuck by not being able to play anything.

No. You don't want to ban people from the game for a high boot rate.

I would vote for banning people with high boot rate from playing quickmatch. However I would limit it to teamgames and possibly also ffa games, because leavers ruins for example four castle ffa template etc.

QM is the only way to drop boot rate for some people... but on the other hand would be good to limit acces for players who surrender in first turn and maybe introduce something like honor rate which will drop each time you surrender and recover with finish game (no matter outcome), as some f...kheads keep surrender like 3 times in row in first rund and when Im boild to red already sugesting for hem to disable tamplates they dont like in responce (swearing from both sides) is kind of "it is my favorit tamplate but I have no time to play" bang... next game the same, so I think some idiots (lvl >50) just want to rise boot rate that way? So if there would be that kind of tool to force them not to join game if no intention to play is present

people shouldnt be punished for surrendering turn 1 as there are definetly games where when you look at the position you just know you lost.
good example are any games with (Stupid) auto distribution games. When your whole team is clustered at one corner of the map no reason to play it. And you cant programm a system wich dertermans if a surr turn 1 was sustified or not.

@Pooh. It takes a bit of adjusting to learn how to play around time constraints like WL. Newbies will be punished disproportionally by this. I had to wait a lot to get games with players under 15% boot rate. I don't know if activity is up or down, comparing quickmatch to like, two years ago, but 10% seems a bit stringent. It might be faster to just ask competitive clans to send people to duel you. :P
Quick games inherently going to attract lots of casual players. That's the price for faster matchmaking. Everywhere. If they aren't ruining the game for teammates, there's no problem.
@Kilogramus. People make all kinds of excuses for surrendering/whatever. Some of them are legit. None are worth getting upset over, especially if they aren't personally attacking you. If you want to to tryhard, save it for your teammates in a larger game lol
There are many games I'm definitely losing off the start in Auto Distribution in QM. I literally only win by grit and tactically outplaying a much weaker opponent. If you aren't able/willing to do that, then you might as well surrender when your opponent is going to be able to defend lots of early income. And you can't get anything going.
Why would people be upset that 1v1 opponents give you free wins by boot or surrender? Would you rather get the guys stall lost games out of spite and hope you boot instead? Its quick match. It really doesn't take that long for a free win to be handed over. You can always fire up extra games on the side if you're feeling frisky.
@NoMercy. Or we can pair people with high boot rates together in FFAs and on the same team. I don't know where we'd set the arbitrary line for that though. :P
