I think its possible to send the same post multiple times if you hit the send button too quickly.
"The thing is, when better players leave, say level 40+ and new players join, the new players aren't as good, or even good yet. The Warzone Community is getting more people while the Warzone Community above 30 levels + is losing people. Meanwhile, the Warzone Community below 30 levels is gaining people. It's gonna take a while for the 30 levels - to get to 50 levels +. So that means Warzone is losing good players and gaining noob players. In a way that's good, in a different way that's bad. I hope I didn't corrupt your minds so now you don't have any knowledge left for games. :)"
I'm not sure I agree with the specific mechanics, but this is definitely a thing. I've been through this with smaller games, in the past. Many high tier players left (for varying reasons I won't get into), at a faster rate than others improved. The net result was that the top levels became less competitive. The opposite can happen as well. If games keep growing/keep their playerbase actively engaged, the skill floor at both the competitive and casual player bases grows. League of Legends and Fortnite are the best examples of this.
I get the impression that WarZone has had a lot of high skill players retire. I don't think that many have replaced them. This is different from "WarZone is dying!", because its exclusively at the upper levels, while game activity is dependent on the casuals. I think its hard to measure the latter. Compared to what I remember from years ago, WarLight has more multiday games going but fewer open RT games. I think it would be easier to determine if I found numbers on QuickMatch activity - that's obviously a big factor.
That being said, I don't think I've ever seen a developer who wanted to share player retention/activity numbers on an ongoing basis. Only as a brief shot of good news. So there's no point in bugging Fizzer about this stuff. He doesn't appear to be panicking, and he's not pandering, so its all good in my books.
@Goodgame - chillax bro. They're riffing off of the Avengers. It sort of fits with Jefferspin goofing around too, tbh. I'd be annoyed if they were spamming an actual discussion, but then so are most of the active readers, and their posts get hidden. Here it's all good brother. xD
