Are you like me and most people I know, liking a movie with a good story, or are you more interested in fights and explosions and stuff?

Legitimate curiosity of common preference, no other reason or anything.

Personally, I like a film with a good story. And usually historical-themed ones. There's something about jumping back a few hundred (or thousand) years that makes modern life seem so crap. :/

Of course, my hormones usually get the better of me so there's usually a gorgeous woman in there somewhere as an additional bonus :D

I'm not at that stage yet. And yes, the story is everything. If you like spiderman you should play the ps4 game. It has a great story is rather fun to play.

Whats a "good" story? I think more explosions = better story

What makes for a bad story is a lot of plot holes, things in the story that don't make sense even with the physics and history of that particular universe. For example, in a Star Trek movie where holograms fight each other, which doesn't make sense because holograms can't touch. That's a plot hole because it shouldn't happen.

But what if holograms CAN touch? Then it would be plot-filled

Good cinematography honestly works wonders.

Why not both?

A bunch of movies and shows have both. I'm just asking which is better if you have to choose between the two.

I dunno about movies, but for games, story by far.

I really like games like Red Dead (both ones) not just because of the dead eye or the TERRIBLE cover system, but because of the story.

This is also why I like Dishonored 2 and Fallout: New Vegas
