I have a very hard time beating this mission:

It is one of the single player missions.

It should be able to get a gold star in 18 turns, but I'm getting no where near that number of turns. I have it beaten so far in 182 turns. Might be able to get that number down, but I just restart every time I can see I will miss the 18 turn mark.

Any help, pointers and clues would be very much appreciated. I'm kind of a loss.

I've read the wiki and I get it, mostly, in most scenarios, but this one seems to get me. I mean, I can beat it, but not in 18 moves (gold star). Not even close.
