Complicated issue, the way I see it, they probably have a fair claim, but it's never gonna happen, and we probably don't need another nation in the middle east that hates and is hated by their neighbors.

I guess it's a matter of American and Russian interference. If the Kurds only have to rebel against Iraq and Turkey then it's a big maybe. If a superpower interferes against the Kurds then they have no hope. If a superpower favors the Kurds, then there will likely be a new nation. Without interference, they have a chance, just a chance.
