Does a pending public map usually take to become public?

Says on the design page that it should take up to 24 hours. But I've tried twice for a total wait time of over 2 days...?

So how exactly does this pending public thing work? Who does what? How long should it take??

EDIT: Also I have published maps before in the past and they never took over 24 hours. So why this time does it take over 2 days and still not happen yet?

It can take a couple days.

As far as I know it's Fizzer who checks all the maps so if he is busy it can take a while.

I believe Fizzer and 1 other person checks maps. If it's complicated it can take awhile.
Also, I believe Fizzer is on vacation.

Phoenix, try PM'ing Fizzer or use the Help->Contact option. Fizzer is on vacation, touring according to his blog so that could be a factor, so a PM/e-mail may be the best course of action, as it will at least get the right person to be aware of it if they aren't already and make it a priority to review/approve the publishing.

I also wanted you to get reasonably suspended, but there was no action taken as there are double standarts, or how should I call it - suspensions for people who have done nothing, no suspensions for rule breachers?
