Announcing a free membership tournament series. Will consist of 3 rounds.

Looking to advance a well rounded team and individual player to Member. Will allow Members to join the tournament, who will be able to nominate a friend to receive the membership.

Round 1:
2v2 on Medium USA. 4 Double Elimination Tournaments with 32 Teams Will be Set up.
The Top 16 Players (8 teams) from each tournament advance to next round.

Round 1 will not have invites sent out, but anyone meeting basic pre-req's can join. Tournament Links will be posted in this thread.

Round 2:
The top 64 players from Round 1 will advance to Round 2 and will be invited to 1v1 on Hurey's Castle.

If i win (which i probably won't but oh well) ill give it to the Warlighter Champion (the guy who wins the first ever Warlighter league)

A shame. Why not give it to Raptor, the most consistent supporter of the almighty General Arun?

PS, has anyone confirmed that the entire Warlighter clan is not just Arun with multiple accounts? Because that would not only be unsurprising to me, but also completely hilarious...

Okay, Here are the Links and the Rules:

Rules:

Rule 1: ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE TOURNAMENT. You will forfeit your prize if you sign up for more than one of the four first round tournaments. (I signed up for all 4 just to track them, and yes, I'll forfeit my free membership if I win. Please, noone else sign up for more than one slot!)

Rule 2: ADVANCEMENT:

The Top 8 Teams, (Top 16 Players) from Each Round I Tournament will advance to Round II.

Round II is 1v1 64 Player Single Elimination on Hurey's Castle per above template. I'm still taking suggestions to modify the template if you have any.

Round III is a 16 player 1v1 Round Robin on a template to be determined per Rule 3.

Rule 3: ROUND III DETERMINATION:

The Winning Team from each of the 4 Round I tournaments will propose a template for Round III. Some Restriction Apply. See fine print in a future dated post.

Players winning the first match of Round II (Top 32 Players) will be able to vote for one of 4 Templates proposed by the Round I Champions.

Rule 4: ELIGIBILITY:

No invites can be sent out for the tournament. If you meet the pre-reqs, join. Spread the word to more that just the forum followers.

Rule 5: PRIZE:

The Prize is Membership. If a Member wins, they can pass the prize to any player that meets the pre-req's to join the Round I Tournament.

Figures that After I set up Round I, someone suggests a change to the format:

Round I: 3v3
Round II: 2v2
Round III 1v1


Any objections If I switch it up? Thoughts?

My only recommendation would be to up the prereqs to something like 30 days and 100 games instead of the current 3 and 25.

I'm in provided someone decent wants me as a teammate.

Also, that teammate gets the membership if I win [If they're not a member already]

Everyone can join any of the tournaments if they meet the pre-req's. However, You should Only JOIN ONE!

If you are registered in more than one of the Round I Tournaments and win, you forfeit your prize.

Depending on how many people are violating this rule, I may need to scrap the existing tournaments and make it all invite only.


And Vapor, its a 3 round Tournament. Whoever is the winner at the end of round three, wins the prize.

A bit confusing. Maybe just make the tournaments first and explain it there?

I realize this John, However, whoever gets me through round 1 gets the prize if I win round 3.

I'm fairly confused, but if anyone who's played a lot with me and likes my style (hopefully similar in level) wants a teammate, post here which tournament he/she is joining and i'll join.
