can someone with membership do me a favor and nominate the elitist garbage map please? I'd be happy to see it up there. I'd be grateful.

No offense Belgian, but I don't think your map would be able to win against current competition, it's best to wait for a weaker week to come.

“Seven Cities was an ancient civilization, steeped in the power of antiquity, where Ascendants once walked on every trader track, every footpath, every lost road between forgotten places. It was said the sands hoarded power within their sussurating currents, that every stone had soaked up sorcery like blood, and that beneath every city lay the ruins of countless other cities, older cities, cities that went back to the First Empire itself. It was said each city rose on the backs of ghosts, the substance of spirits thick like layers of crushed bone; that each city forever wept beneath the streets, forever laughed, shouted, hawked wares and bartered and prayed and drew first breaths that brought life and the last breaths that announced death. Beneath the streets there were dreams, wisdom, foolishness, fears, rage, grief, lust and love and bitter hatred.”

I don't know if it could win this week, but winning is lesser important for me. I'm rather waiting for the day when both words "elitist" and "garbage" become an available option in this artistic contest. That'd be sweet.

If you want it to go that way, then I'll need to ask my friends to nominate some crappy maps next week. Seeing Elitist Garbage win is my personal dream, it would be a shame if it didn't come true :*(

I watched 2 whole minutes of Ninjanic's map making tutorial on youtube and I can most definitely make a map of the world with 9999 territories. In all seriousnesss though, Belgian, your map looks good, you can see the... effort put in to naming each individual territory with snarky comments.
