Better definition would be when you know that a game is either at a severe disadvantage to you or lost you play on but do so as slow as possible in order to achieve some sort of desired effect (for example: making the other player ragequit, or avoiding the immediate rating hit in a ladder in order to game the system)

Worst definition would be when a chemical and physical process in bread and similar foods that reduces their palatability - stale bread is dry and hard.
