I have a bug since last week. I found it first when I tried entering google chrome normally. it didn't open. then I noticed that I can't use CTRL ALT DELETE (I wanted to open task manager to see whats going on). so I entered task manager in a different way, and saw that there are like 3 times google chrome (sometimes it's 2 or 4, probably depends on how many times I try opening chrome with no success). so I tried using "end task" and quit all of them (the 3 chromes that appeared in task manager). it seemed like it worked. but after some minutes in chrome it just stopped working. it just freezed, and when I quit it and reopen it doesn't open, like in the beginning. so I searched in the internet both, "CTRL ALT DELETE doesn't work" and after "google chrome doesn't open". I found some good results about people that had the same issue like me. but unfortunately I had no idea what the people who answered how to fix it said (I am not good with computers). also, it's not very clear what was the solution eventually, since after every answer, the guy who asked how to fix it writes a very long paragraph which I have no clue what it means (they wrote there a lot of strange things related to computers probably, and I don't understand them). so I just went on and after some hours I tried shutting down the computer. there was no reply. I just saw the mouse with a blue circle (sorry, I hope you understand. I mean the circle that shows it's loading). oh well. I am not sure what I have done there but I think that I just went on and after some time tried shutting down again and it worked. the day after I turned the computer on* and it worked just fine both chrome and ctrl alt delete. I thought that it was just a stupid bug the day before, but like I said earlier after using chrome for a few minutes it just stopped working. but ctrl alt delete still worked... anyway I hope you understand what I mean. I didn't really care as I have internet explorer so I just used it. but now, after some days using 90%of the times IE, I have another bugs which is why I am posting here. whenever I open a few tabs, something like 80% of the times IE stops working. please don't say its because its shit as its not the first time im using it. so I admit, it used to happen because it really is shit after all... but not as badly as now. sometimes with just 3 tabs open it happens. does anybody know whats wrong with my computer? is it possible to fix it myself? if you explain how to fix it please use easy words, like I said I don't know a lot about computers.
I have windows 8 64 bit if it matters.
*maybe this has to do with the problem: at that moment, windows installed updates when I turned on the computer. but it said something like "failed to configure windows updates". so maybe it's related.
Thanks in advance and sorry I wrote so much.

:( this question make me sad :P download malwarebytes and scan your pc. https://www.malwarebytes.org/ click free version. i think you should solve problem if is a malware. If you don't have install any AV, then you are using essential and defender of Microsoft, pre-installed in Windows 8.

i only tell you think 2 possibilities in my opinion. Based to my experiences, could be a malware that don't allow crome.exe process to start. And same exactly problem, can have origin and solutions in different ways, especially in Windows. I can't tell you, will work at 100%. But there are good chance. At least, give the worth of a shot. look at this http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/baedc019-0b4f-458e-9826-eac334d18d21/ctrlaltdel-no-longer-works?forum=w7itpronetworkingno matter win 7 or 8, they suggested the same as me. And in one post, they say" I'd guess, that this is a hardware problem ". Same 2 option picked as me. But again, you can't be sure until you will try ;)

from an answer of microsfot forum "Some malicious software is aware of the methods you are most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, Command Prompt, the Internet, Google, etc.) The malicious software does not want you to use things like Task Manager to find and remove it, so it prevents them from becoming a running process on the system and the process will not launch or the process will be terminated as soon as it does launch" http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system/ctrl-alt-del-doesnt-bring-up-task-manager/295a1a93-f032-4e65-a355-7df355eac81a

Sounds like you found a workaround for it already but know that CTRL-SHIFT-ESC opens task manager directly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvfD5rnkTwsOk, but on a more serious note, download malware bytes anti-malware from https://www.malwarebytes.org/and super anti-spyware from http://www.superantispyware.com/Then re-start your pc in safe mode (press F8 during start up) and then run a full scan on your anti virus and the 2 pieces of software listed above.

Ok, Chrome generally has multiple processes (1 per tab, 1 per plugin, etc.) so that if one thing breaks, the whole thing doesn't come crashing down. If control-alt-delete doesn't work, hard shutdown your computer (hold down the power button until it turns off). If that doesn't work, reinstall Chrome. By the way, NEVER USE INTERNET EXPLORER! Maybe use Firefox or something. Just not IE.
Good luck! :D

Torch is much better than chrome, and if you're reluctant to leave chrome, Torch is like an enhanced chrome. It's made by Google I believe, and most of the things (like incognito tabs) directly mirror that of chrome.
Wow that paragraph looks nooby
