New CL is coming!!!! :D
Hey Warzoners/Warlighters, I am really excited! :D

The lineups look very exciting, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the results will turn out!
And I am very hope, that there will be one (or more) volunteer who will write cool CL news (in the past there were a few very good writer!)
The google sheet is very professional and easy to follow the results, but reading cool updates in the forum is something else ;)

Ok, I can't wait, but fortunately we have this prediction thread, so I am writing one :D

*remark: I don't know the team player community at all, so my prediction likely will be a garbage (because the CL is about the team points) ;)

Ok, the short version:

• SNinja, ONE!, Lynx, Outlaws
  These four clans will fight for the podium positions, imo.
  
• Apps, WG
  These two clans will fight to avoid relegation (but I can easily imagine that they would eventually be on the podium, I love how tough the field is!)
  
• GG
  I give them now one of the relegation position, but this is only because I don't know many of their players, so I can easily imagine that they will be a surprise.

And the long version ;)

Ok, starting with the four podium aspirants.
I am curious which lineup type will be the winner. The concentrated one (SNinja and Outlaws both use only 7 players and 5 players will play in maximum slots!) or the deeper one (ONE! and Lynx both use 10 players and only 1-1 player with maximum slot)

I don't know well d-ceo, Tof and Banner, but the other four players... Rak, max, Almosttricky and Hergul is a very tough commando! :D I mean not (only) their skill (because there are many players with similar skills) but their real strength is the commitment and focus they can play! The very short lineup is very risky, because one player with full slots can destroy the all season of the team, but I cannot imagine this regarding those four players. And hey, they are the defending champion! :)
So these are why I think they have a good chance to defend their title
(and because the boredom producing Masters clan is missing :P)

Seriously, I am not sure he will play very focused way (but surprise me Buns! :P ), so the reason wasn't (only ;) ) Buns why I predict ONE! so high (nor my bias :P)
Look at those players, all of them capable of outstanding performance! And they are stable A division team for years, with a wealth of CL experience. So far, something was missing to CL win, but this year it will work! I feel it! ;)

Similar situation than regarding SNinjas, a very concentrated lineup with the risks involved. They have the skills, and able to the focused and dedicated play, and I am very wonder their 1v1 performance (with the Edge-Njord heavy axis :)) - their team play is traditionally strong

Well, it was a very nice B division win last year (with a convincing team game), but now this is already the adult level ;)
MoD and Moto will be strengthening for sure, and for example SNinja was able to win Division A immediately the first season after they won the Division B, but I dunno, just feeling too ;) (but I easy can imagine a podium in the end :))
Btw, they have the deepest lineup. but I don't know this is good or not (when you have 3 slots, you know you have to concentrate 1000%, but if you have only one... from the other side with 3 slots (especially team games) you need a lot of time and there is a risk that you cannot spend the necessary while 1 slot comfortable)

Ok, and I hate put one team to the end, but I feel this :O

I mean, they will be able to play without any pressure! Their desire for proof can be an additional driving force!
And I put them last because I don't know most of their players. For me GG means FlyingBender, Ollie, MIFRAN, MisterT, Julkorn, Mike, etc. What a lineup it would be! :O But who knows, maybe these new players will efface the old legends? ;)
Anyway, very interesting that they use fixed teams (one team for the two 3v3, one team for two 2v2), I am wonder the outcome of this.

Going to release my picks for my 2nd favorite division of this Clan league Division D: (Edited to reflect new information)

1) French Community: I don't know most of the players but knowing they are a veteran clan and looking at their ladder ranks they should easily buzzsaw through this division. Also I hold Zev in high regard but was unaware of the skill of numerous other players in the division.

2) Lu Fredd: Well organized and many skilled players, I like them for the second promotion spot. They have no weak spots in their lineup.

3) Polish Eagles: Menda, Lew, and Dziku combine for 2 team slots? They should do damage in 1v1s but maybe not as much as people think with all the other good players around. The lack of team strength will be their downfall.

4) Vikinger: So I've been informed a few of their players are very good. Still don't know about the rest of their lineup. For the moment slotting them between GW and PE.

5) German Warlords: Lucien Muller will do some damage in 1v1s, but I don't think they have the depth to compete with the rest.

6) The Last Alliance: I literally don't know anyone on their team, but everyone else has at least some good players.

@glass I wouldn't say Zev is the best (no offense to him). There's a lot of good players in his division though.

Yeah I'm unfamiliar with the other FC players so have no way of judging their ability. If they have that many better than Zev though then they'll have a very easy time with the division.

Might be underrating Lew though.

Lew is very very good.

But FC has a lot of the players back they tied CL7 with.

yea, Lew has 82% 1v1 winrate… very good in ladders...

In division B you have a 18 point spread between 3 and 7, and a 43 point spread between 2 and 3. I think you've underrated MH (DrApe and Hazlenut worth only 1 on MME seems the greatest example of this) quite a bit, but aside from that, that pretty much sums up the division.

I found predicting many tournaments hard. For instance, I know I underrated max and tricky in SNinja, and I'd be suprised if they didn't do better, that being said, I had a hard time picking them above the others.

So I cowboy style made individual tournament predictions for division B. Sorry its not as pretty as his. It took me longer than 60 seconds to figure out how to upload an image of my picks so I stopped trying.

If I really wanted to put effort into it I'd predict how many wins each player/team would get instead of just ordering them weakest to strongest. For example in 2v2 MME I think Grendel and I are the weakest team, but I do think we'll get at least one win, and maybe even two or three. Likewise in Fb I think Guy Incognito is the strongest player, but I'll be stunned if ANYONE gets through that tournament unscathed.
