few suggestions
1) you should have given the soldiers real names
2)the soldiers should lying on there backs guns pointed at enemies
3)there should be more than 1 type of soldier in the battlefield
4)the bonus colors should be army colours greens and greys or brown perhaps greens vs browns
Use a trail of bullets as connection lines
