well, you dared to open this thread,so I will make myself like at home.
Recently I watched 2 old series, one known and one less known (maybe not known at all dunno) 1st one happens to be Steins;Gate.I saw so many memes about it,but never really understood their origin or sense (well, ''Tuturuu" and the scene with''sonuvabitch'' are understandeble, somehow). So I decided to give it a go.And man,let me tell ya, it's gold. First few episodes barely made any sense, and made many to dump the series. It all takes a bit of attention to find the link-parts of the story, so to say. Then it goes smoothly, to a thriller.Yea. It just messes with your mind and heart. But it's worth watching. And for more understanding of the universe of this series,I do suggest playing the games (though I haven't played them myself, yet)
The 2nd one ,as I said,is more unknown. It's called Schwarzesmarken. For those who may have played games from MuvLuv series, you might know it. The series take an interesting approach though, which got my interest.Action takes place in the 1980's in East Germany, humanity fighting alliens known as BETA.The main cast of characters have to fight not just these alliens, but also their own comrades (more or less),in the form of Stasi. So yea, preety interesting in my point, worth trying if you are into psychological stuff,or mecha. Feel like making some recomandations :P So I suggest, for those who want to try ,Girl's Last Tour (both manga and anime.I can spoil ya a little, manga is more sad than the anime).
Manga-wise (since I read more manga than watch anime ),recently I haven't dig in serious stuff. I keep ''munching''on Komi-san whenever I see a new chapter.I also keep searching (oddly or not) for WW1/WW2 themed manga.I will point out some that I had read. -''Shiroi Majo'' (Simo Hayha as a woman.Yes,you read it well.) -''El Alamein no Shinden'' (a colection of strange WW2 stories) -''Otto Carius: Doromamire no Tora'' (yeap, this stuff exists) -''Kuro Kishi Monogatari" (a more serious manga than the one above.Panzer stuff) -''Soukuu no Maou Rudel'' (interesting approach on the actions of Hans Rudel) -''NeuN'' (something with the secret children of Adolf) (yea, all of them are set during WW2) Thinking a little, the ''Saga of Tania the Evil" is set in an alternative WW1 setting.Im mentioning this cause I managed to buy the first 3 volumes.
So yea, I will stop with my knowledge here.Hope it's interesting enough for some of you.
