Update #2: 1/28/2020
At a Glance:Quite a few games have been completed in the past week and a half.
CORP (2-0) now leads the pack with two 1v1 wins at 6 points, followed by
MH (1-0) at 5.
{101st} (1-0) also manages to put their first points on the board.
HAWKS (0-0) and
Statisticians (0-1) still sit tight at 0 points. (Did someone tell them the race has started?)
[V.I.W] (0-2) loses their lead with two losses and have fallen to fifth place.
FCC (1-2), also with two losses, is now dead last in max points. One might even claim they're overrated.
1) CORP - 100% points contested, 6 total points, 240 max points
2) MH - 100% points contested, 5 total points, 240 max points
3) {101st} - 100% points contested, 3 total points, 240 max points
4) FCC - 33.3% points contested, 4 total points, 232 max points

Games finished since last week: 3v3: Biomes of America
MH RogueNK, blobblob, Ollie defeats
FCC Checkmqte, MGO, FalerCZhttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20490094The first finished 3v3 game of the division.
MH lands one pick in South America in the middle of an enemy cluster, effectively countering four enemy picks with just one. An accurate prediction in Alaska Coastline on turn 2 all but secures the victory, and
FCC lasts only two more turns before admitting defeat.
2v2: Modified Medium Earth
FCC MasterPitt, Xenophon defeats
[V.I.W] Glass, Grendelhttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20547342Quite poor play on
[V.I.W]'s side.
- For some reason, [V.I.W] decides that Canada is worth more than West US, which either counters Central America or allows taking it with minimal deploys. Canada provides neither of those benefits.
- Grendel dedicates three full turns of income and heads to Xinjiang only to find an uncompleted Caucasus.
- Grendel seems to forget that neutrals can't deploy when he pings Kyrgyzstan on turn 9 before hitting with 7.
A very nice pre-emptive blockade in Papua New Guinea seals off hope of a back-door attack on Australia, and
FCC sails smoothly to score their first victory.
1v1: Battle Islands V
CORP Baer defeats
[V.I.W] lineal2012https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20621934After picks, Baer has a stronger position with one pick handling two of lineal's, and the other two providing him safe income. On turn 5, the players trade bonuses in the east. Both players could have easily made quite a few more delays on this crucial turn, but for some reason decide not to. Turn 11 is another turn where delay is king, but neither side really makes as many as possible. Cales (6-bonus) is broken, and lineal surrenders at 11-21 income.
CORP Baer defeats
Statisticians Nickhttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20572000Here is an illustrious lesson on the importance of move order. On turn 3, instead of completing Ovatius first before venturing into new territory, Nick decides to hit Rumosh third order instead of last order. Baer takes the territory right back and completes Zarway (4-bonus). Then Baer defends the double border for a couple turns, and the recapture of Zarway gives Baer his second win.
1v1: Biomes of America
{101st} pumpkinhead defeats
FCC MGOhttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20629872Pumpkinhead gets no less than 5 connected picks in northern South America, and a mis-prediction causes MGO to blockade 7 of his armies in Lima. Pumpkinhead is able to capitalize on his lead and a few turns later MGO realizes his position is untenable.
