Update #4: 2/13/2020
At a Glance:Quite a few games have passed since my last update. I was originally going to wait until
{101st} loses a game so that
MH will come back to first, but this update is long overdue. We therefore have
{101st} (1-0) remaining undefeated with a nominal first place (my sources tell me they will not maintain this status for long). They are followed by
MH (3-1), the point leader with 86.3% points contested, having taken their first loss along with
CORP (1-1), which is third at 75%.
HAWKS (2-2) finally get their first points on the board, placing themselves solidly in the middle of the pack.
FCC (3-4) has completed quite a number of games, maintaining their ~40% winrate to entrench themselves in the bottom half of the leaderboard.
[V.I.W] (2-4) follows with a subpar week, and are now 6th place - quite a fall from their early lead.
Statisticians (0-0) have completed no games in the past two weeks.
1) {101st} - 100% points contested, 6 total points, 240 max points
2) MH - 86.3% points contested, 19 total points, 237 max points
3) CORP - 75% points contested, 9 total points, 237 max points
4) HAWKS - 44.4% points contested, 5 total points, 234 max points
5) FCC - 37.1% points contested, 13 total points, 218 max points
6) [V.I.W] - 33.3% points contested, 11 total points, 218 max points
7) Statisticians - 0% points contested, 0 total points, 234 max points
Games finished since last update: 3v3: Biomes of America
[V.I.W] Very Important Weirdos Vindude, lineal2012, Andre Laufmöller defeats
Fifth Column Confederation FalerCZ, MGO, Checkmqtehttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20565091When the picks are settled, each member of
[V.I.W] gets a safe bonus. However, on the
FCC side, both FalerCZ and Checkmqte initially have only islands as their only additional income source. On turn 2, MGO attempts to attack neutrals in Juan Fernandez with a transfer-only, which, well, doesn't attack. Luckily for him, however, this was pretty inconsequential, as his income was far from where it was needed and getting an extra two armies wouldn't really have mattered. Other than that, both teams played decently, and the
[V.I.W] team capitalizes on their advantageous start to win the game.
3v3: Deadman's Rise of Rome
HAWKS Axl, J.P. (ง︡'-'︠)ง let's fight!! defeats
[V.I.W] Very Important Weirdos Glass, Chazz Micheal Michaels, Tiberio Nero Claudio CesarDeadman's Rise of Rome
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20516580On turn 2, a nearly perfect prediction by the
HAWKS team leads to the preservation of both threatened bonuses, a breaking of an opponent bonus, and an elimination of an enemy start. The following turn, Glass makes an ill-conceived attempt to take Italia Superior, and the game goes downhill from there, with solid play from
HAWKS to secure the win.
2v2: Modified Medium Earth
M'Hunters Hazlenut, DrApe defeats
HAWKS Axl, J.P.https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20547341The game is over after turn 1. Hazlenut breaks the Scandinavia FTB and J.P. goes for a misdirected blind counter in East Africa. The rest of the game is just mop-up, and
HAWKS surrender after turn 5.
2v2: Szeurope
M'Hunters Pete Hanson, Mylo defeats
[V.I.W] Very Important Weirdos Vindude, Andre Laufmöllerhttps://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=20574685 [V.I.W] ends up with 6 picks in the east, with two in central Europe. Mylo is able to secure a ftb in Iceland completely uncontested. The
[V.I.W] team gets an income advantage in the midgame, but their clustered bonuses and lack of map coverage spells their downfall when Mylo eventually reaches Russia and wreaks havoc in their territory.
EDIT: Thanks to Derfellios for correcting CORP max points.
