I am aware that people don't love advertisements for clans, even in the clans from, however I am wondering whether anyone would be interested in a co-manager position at TLA?
Currently there are two positions:
Foreign Relations Manager - An experienced Warzoner, preferably with management experience who can take responsibility for organising our participation in inter-clan events, such as Clan League and Clan Wars.
Discord Manager - Another experienced Warzoner, preferably with management experience who can who can take control of our Discord server.
Let me know if you're interested. 😉
Edit: The position of Foreign Relations Manager has now been filled. Though active and skilled players are always welcome!
i am interested in foreign relations manager. i am well versed in early 20th century marketing campaigns and am a thorough blooded bernaysian. this is the only position i will accept
You don't seem to realise exactly what the role entails... foreign relations is merely my name for it, it has almost nothing to do with foreign relations irl. And unless you have experience managing a clan, then I'm not likely to accept. Thanks for offering, though!
We're not just Diplo, we're increasing our strat involvement. (joined CL and Clan Wars, as mentioned). In the future I plan to build it to be simularish to CORP. You should do it, risky!
Yeah, I plan on getting discord sometime, but regardless, I want someone to manage it because I don't want to be spending more time than I already am managing the clan, but I also want the clan to be awesome. 😉 And awesome clans use discord for two things: communication and fun. So, yeah.
If you wish to delegate responsibility you need to know what responsibility that delegation entails. The last activity in your discord server was three months ago until today, when I asked if you were in the server. It's difficult enough finding someone willing to help you in an advisory role, much less join your cause in earnest, and far much less when the activity could be frivolous because no one, not even the delegator, uses what they want to delegate.
The best advice I can give you is that you should try to find and recruit active players, and then find managers internally. Building an active, thriving community is not a fast process. It takes a lot of time investment to do so. Eventually, you should be able to slowly ween responsibility off of yourself and onto your peers as they become dedicated and indebted to the community you sow.
Thanks for the advice, Aura! I'll keep it in mind re discord, and as for recruitment that's exactly what I'd like to do, but if I can snaffle up someone good (like riskboy) by doing something like this, I'm all for it. There's a lot of good players who I'd love in the clan, but won't come without a good reason, and a management position is a pretty good reason, in my opinion. 😉
