Which clan do you think will be number 1 in the future. Do you think illuminati will hold the spot, or be passed. Which of the top 10 do you think is liable to rise to the top?

Illuminati is trash, as well as the Clan points system.

The illuminati clan abuses the points system by simply inviting players to the clan to use their points. They contribute nothing other than a few bucks to Fizzer.

#1 spot? You mean who has the most points? That is meaningless. We are 23rd on the list with only 9 members.

I wish that list had the point totals next to it, so I could figure out the average for each clan and their members.

I don't get you Lawlz, you have 86 members, how are you any different?

Because its not a clan. It's an organized league of players. We have 16 teams of 5, plus farm teams.

Just read the clan bio

Just because we're big, doesn't mean we don't contribute. Starting Season II, organizing a team, planning practice games and in constant management with the leaders is hella work, and it's def contribution to the community.

Maybe you could train your members not to join teams in tournaments without reading the chat first. I got one of them on my team (despite requesting friends only) and he doesn't even know the basics of turn order.

-_- I don't even read the chat in tournaments.

And it's not my place to train members that aren't my responsibility. Hell, that even gives my team an advantage

Chris, Lawlz's current clan IS different. Players are organised into teams and play in leagues and stuff. It's actually a pretty decent clan; well run too.

It is incredibly frustrating to have some random joe join your team just because they want to ride your coat tails to greatness!!

I agree Taisho. If you dont have the time to read the chat, which takes about 10 seconds, then dont join someone's team. That is why i have WG alts to fill slots and keep noobs from joining me.

It might have been fine because there are tons of noobs in the tourney, except i got TWM's team in first round.

The LEA is a collection of teams (some are clans in their own right). Chris, if you'd like to, please mail me the profile of the chap and we'll catch up with the guy so he doesn't make the same mistake in the future.

We're aware of the potentially negative connotations to our climbing up the clan page, but I'd rather no mind was paid to it. It's not, in the whole: more than a reflection of the size of the member base.

All I am saying is why not post it on your clan forum (with other guidlines you should have to members)?

Fair enough, we can certainly discuss what we can do for members who are new to Warlight. Thanks Chris!

Every clan is to be judged differantly, some are pure skill gamers who only want to play with the best as a team or even solo.

Some are social community and themed clans with the aim of having fun for its members.

And then some are just a Joke who invite anyone and are 75% inactive and is only aim is to recruit the most possible for no reason... *cough* illuminati...

So to say who is number 1 is a stupid question in itself as clans serve different purposes.

If to go by Skill as in Warlight gaming the Clan League is the best way to measure it.

I think #1 is just something fun to be measured by. "Hey, our clan has the most members and points" just as a fun little thing. Not serious in any way.

Don't say it's a joke. I could say the clan league is a joke, for all the Roleplay clans. Different clans are measured by different things.

If the LEA was to surpass illuminati (wouldn't be surprised) I think we'd be happy. Not because we beat illuminati, or because we think we're better than anybody, but just because it'd be one of the only clans other than illuminati to hold it. And it's just fun to say, "Hey we're number one!"

LoEA is actually quite the clan. I'm impressed with their system, despite the fact that they use strange maps for their competitions sometimes. I think them taking first wouldn't be a problem and would be an improvement over Illuminati, but really I'm waiting for a real ranking system via clan battles to be implemented.

I'd like some sort of clan war system, but would also like to keep the clan points as a factor in the clan ranks. Maybe winning wars could get points for the clan or something

Let's be honest here though, clan war system would be pointless for roleplay clans, or team play clans as they don't indulge in wars.

Also, what would it take for the community to socially accept a clan as a non-troll clan if it's not a skill clan?
Join the Clan League? Not much to do there, since they aren't skill.

Team-play clans don't indulge in war? Then what are they doing on a site that is geared towards competitive play to conquer the world (i.e. a map)?!?!

As to role-play clans: there's no league, no serious organization, not even objective based competitions. I've seen a few decent posts from General Mac and I know Discord is good at organizing events, but they don't whine about the skilled players being macho all the time.
-> Why would we gear a ranking system to appease the needs of a few? This community thrives off the competitive players, like it or not.

Illuminati has over 200 players now, if they can't field 10 skilled players they're a joke, no way around it.

Siriusly.

There are plenty of role play clans that are accepted by the community. The problem is the role play clans that troll.
