After reviewing Hannibal's Challenger vs Champion idea, it got me thinking about how when I was playing another competitive game that every so often there was a King of the Hill tournament. Basically, it would work like this:

1. To select our first "King" let's just do a popularity vote. I want serious votes on the best 1v1 player around currently (who would be willing). Voting ends: 7/10/2012 at 9:00pm GMT-6

2. I will create a tournament called Challenging the King of the Hill. It will be using the same strategic 1v1 template as the ladder. It will host 64 players, open to everyone who fits the reqs.

3. Prerequisites: At least 100 games played, boot % below 10, and 1v1 % of 40+

4. The winner of the tournament will be invited to a game with the King.

5. Once either the Challenger or the King wins, the tournament will be created again.

Since I'm reluctant to do prizes on my Monthly tournament, I'd much rather do them on here.

Quite simply, keep your crown twice in a row, you'll get a free membership. If you have a membership, you can give it to someone else. If anyone would like to help me with prizes, it'd be much appreciated. ;D

Also, being King gives you bragging rights for however long it lasts.


Anyways, I shall start the vote, I vote that Dunga be crowned the first King.

Also, I think it should be a 5 game series between the Challenger and the King instead of just one game because it would give a better idea of which player is better. And I'm assuming the tournament is single elimination, right?
