Hi, I had one more idea to a tournament series guys. I hope this one won't give much trouble because it will only work with a good list of willing players.

I had the idea one seeing wimbledom's games.

Its a season of about 20 tournaments in different real word maps (with different hosts and such) at 1v1 games. Each weekend a new tournament will start in a different template. The tournaments will be divided in Grand Slams, Majors and Big Series (for bigger maps).

This is the templates i briefed for a full season:(in parenthesis the number of territories and bonuses)

5th-6th 500 points
7th-8th 400 points
9th-12th 300 points
13th-16th 200 points
17th-24th 100 points
25th-32nd 50 points

Major Series 256 Players single elimination
1st 1300 points
2nd 800 points
3rd-4th 400 points
5th-8th 200 points
9th-16th 100 points
17th-32th 50 points

Big Series 128 Players single elimination
1st 800 points
2nd 500 points
3rd-4th 250 points

I also am thinking about adding tournament series to the WPA calender, like Lolowut Monthly and the Saturday and Sunday Live tournaments (at lower pointing rewards).

This tournament goal is to try and give more importance to tournamens final results, and to players can analize their tournament results.

I hope i can get a good response for you guys, because i think the season could start in august.
Any members interested in being the host of few events?

hello, i had a similar idea about 2 weeks ago, but i renounced because i am quite busy in this period and i noticed that there are many unofficial tournaments (like nation cup) and many players are on holiday so i thought that maybe could be a better idea start this on september. I prepared some materials, if you are interested pls invite me in a chat game so we can talk about it and i will show you what i produced some days ago.

tomorrow i will create a chat room with all interested people in here to discuss to first season.

The first objective will be for us to set the goals of the association and define the calendar for the first season.

If any of you is intersted in participating or sharing ideas plz come forward to be invited to the chat room.


Also i am thinking about forming a council of 5 players that will change in each season to keep the associaton running.

By chatroom do you mean IRC channel, a game/tournament, or something else?
