Turn 1 made me laugh more than anything I've seen all day.
It's not the dumbest thing I've seen, but it is the most ironic.
Here's how to successfully Boston:
Turn 1: You hit Queensland and South Australia turn 1. You also hit Papua New Guinea and either Siple or Novolazarevskaya. I'd pick Siple, but they both have their advantages.
Novo lets you move the leftover back and have it in Siple after completing the bonus turn 3. Siple first warns you in advance of a potential South America counter and lets you change plans if needed. I favor intel over a leftover being more usefully placed after turn 3. Especially since it's 2 armies + 17 = 19 That's an attack of 18. The extra army isn't useful anyway.
Turn 2: Move the leftover from Siple (or Novo) back to South Pole. Complete Australia.
Turn 3: You have a leftover in Western Australia, Papua New Guinea, Tasmania, and New Zealand.
Deploy 2 to Western Australia, 1 to New Zealand or Tasmania, 5 to Papua New Guinea, and 2 to South Pole. You 1v2 tap and then 2v1 to take Scott, 3v2 everywhere else. You end turn 3 on 17 income.
That's how you Boston. It's not how Boston played. You'd think if you're the only guy on warzone with a triple pick named after you because of how often you used to pick it that you'd know ow to optimally expand with it. You'd apparently be wrong.
If he expanded as outlined he'd hit South America turn 4 and instantly win the game. Instead he uhh, plays like shit, which is sort of a theme for him in recent years. After watching games where he plays like this, it's very clear, Boston's barks way more dangerous than his bite.
This looks pretty obsessive (and sad) to me.
