I get the idea that some games deserve a gg and why.(If there is no why then ...)
And I get the idea that it is polite
But to me in an old fashioned way
What it does is put the game back in my active games list which I then click on and it just says GG
And this can happen a few times
It reminds me of an old forum I used to use and which I would want notifications on certain forum thread updates
And then you go look and it just someone saying thanks
As more people got it the number of thanks decreased but some posts really justified a decent thanks and with why
This still continued but less so after they added a thanks button to the forum
And it all worked better for everyone's benefit
So why don't we collectively agree to cut out the bland GG after a game
Save it for when it is special and say why
It makes it far more interesting as well
ALL IMHO

Put stuff like this in uservoice please.

Saying gg or wp should only be done in the 15 seconds after the game ends, to ensure the message arrives at your opponent before he closes the game. It should also only be said if the game was actually good, or there was actual well playing in the game.....

But of a walkover that one but gg anyway

Just say "bg" or "pg" instead of "gg".

"bg" = bad game
"pg" = pathetic game

How about "gsp" (Good Starting Placement!).

There are a lot of games that are pretty much decided on turn 1, barring booted players.

I almost always say gg, because it's polite, but I only say wp if it's deserved. And I generally add the gg pretty quickly.

Pretty sure there there is/was a filter option for your games. Change it so that it only shows active but not eliminated.

yea, there is a filter. I used to have it on ,but then I couldn't see chats from other players

I agree GG clan should be removed
