What is your strategy during an FFA? I myself invented a brand-new strategy.
Cornering - If you don't start in a map corner, crawl towards nearest corner. Corners are good, because they secure yo ass and then the other players can't attack you from all sides. A strategy invented by the titan of warlight, a.k.a. berdan131.
You're welcomed... . . . . . . . ...in losing against me! every time

Depends on the map and the game settings. On the "USA Big" games where you get an additional army income for each territory, it's suicide to start in a corner because you need to be expanding as quickly as possible in all directions.
I've been in such games where on turn 6 or 7, the guy that started in the corner has maybe 60 or 70 income, while the guy that started in a well-chosen territory with lots of adjoining territories and expansion in all directions has an income of 400 or 500. Game over.
For example, if no opponent is encountered, the income growth for one well-placed territory would be:
5 > 15 > 41 > 91 > 169 > 292 > 439 > 657

Also, I think that on FFA maps it's best to choose only one place to expand. Because if you expand in 3 different places across the map, you will have to fight all players at once.
