This Thread is about getting a list of BASIC ideas for creating different games which all require a different winning Strategy.
You could Call them "Archtypes" of gameplay. This is to inspire you to make a different game as to what you are used to create or play.
Lets start of with the common Ones:
1. The regular FFA (Free for All)
- just everybody fights everybody and there can be truces made and/or not and there will/can be backstabbing (depending on the chat settings)
2. Lottery Game
- 1 huge bonus to win or 100% attack and who gets first order or
all land with high neutral troops but only one point with 1 neutral in it so you get a card with high reinforcement and can win.....
3. Zombie Game
- AI(`s) with huge bonuses against human players
4. Racing Game
- Every player starts with the same distance to a huge bonus and whoever gets there first wins the game
Note: play with negative bonuses and or sanction cards maybe even make it a sceario where the rest of the map is an AI with no income and have deplomacy cards so you can envoke it on other players so they lose turns in moving forward
4.1 Racing Minefield
every player starts at the same distance from the huge bonus but can not see the amount of neutrals next to him (fog settings) make huge wasteland so some people run into them and or get stuck and have to wait to get enough troops from income again
5. Negative bonus game
- every player has base income but bonuses are all high negative income you have to eliminate other player to win (works as ffa or team game)
but if you get a whole bonus then your income drops to the level where you can not attack the other players so you will try to eliminate others withouth getting a whole bonus
(spice it up with reinf cards so you need to attack to get ahead)
6. Cards only Income
- no base income no bonus income only reinf income have to attack and to gain land to get troops
7. Smart/Stratgic team gift game
- have some joint bonuses in a game and gift cards you have to gift some of your bonus to your teammate to get the bigger bonus to get the advantage here is and example:

8. Mexican Standoff
- all players with same bonus and border to each other and no one gets any more income than the other its basically a waiting game can be spiced up with booting time setting so if you dont commit in time you get booted (beware of hight bootrates ;P )
8.1 Spartan Standoff
- Spartan map -> teams have equal starting positions and earn the same income have to charge at each other (play with defensive and attack % to make it interesting also use maybe reinf cards or diplomacy or all others to make it fun in this small confined map of sparta)
9. Bonus Spike game
- Make not just one but several bonuses of a map much higher then the others and make it manual placement so people will fight over those huge bonuses (has been done with the Romane Empire map works well is good fun ffa style)
well i think i have to mention it 10th Diplomacy games
everybody knows them so i dont have to explain and my take on them is they dont work but pls dont start a dicussion about them in here thats not the place
