It would be a specific mix between Round Robin and a Single elimination tournament.

Is the same format used by FIFA.

The games in the "single elimination" table depends on the results generated by the games of the groups "Round Robin" to be balanced.

This is possible on -B's CLOT. It's a great site where you can make and participate in custom tournaments, leagues, and ladders. Highly recommend people check it out:
