Random teams (at least those where you can get teamed up with some random unknow player) are terrible. Random teams in a game with friends/trusted players only could still work.
Second this from Tbest. Just a simple interface where you can ready up, see who on your team is present and readied up, and what templates the team wants to play on.
Teaming up in QM would give (generally speaking) immense advantage against team of random individual players.
It could work only if you would be paired with another premade team and then you should only be ranked as a team, not as an individual (changing teamates as you wish).
From my own QM experience, I can tell that there are some bitter players that are on your team, but are intentionally playing against you just because they want to make you lose for whatever reason (they don't care about losing them as well). Sometimes you end up with someone being booted. But in most cases you play relatively a fair game without the above mentioned.
I guess the solution is just to untick the team templates.
Something else I would raise is that the algorithm that decides what template two opponents get is not randomised, and so the same opponents continuously get the same template, which can get quite annoying/boring, I go to QM for diversity.
