I really like the way 3v3 Asia plays (the really old massive one that regl john made). It has a huge amount of strategic options when picking. It rewards expansion outside of your starting bonuses, and punishes players who dont work as part of a team. The problem is that it has few choke points and is maaaaaassive so it takes over an hour per game with a lot of clicking.
My template is battle islands V with bonus values and neutrals increased to mimmick asia, but squished into a tiny map. I use wastelands of 2 amongst neutrals of about 5 to create paths of little resistance that players can follow and to add some diversity to picking. I would like to add more diversity to picking and that is why I need your help.

To make it the way i want it to be, I need to use a different kind of map. Battle islands might still be fine, but i need to put a new territory in between each bonus and stick a stack of neutrals onto that bonus. The problem now is that people complete their starting bonus and are immediately in contact with an enemy. So this means i will be doing some map editing over the weekend.

The map isn't a chore to play, the tourney just had crap competition. But hey if you want to make a snap judgement based on a single game with a boot from an inactive player, be my guest :P
