Clan League PanelThe Clan League Panel is responsible for running the league. They deal with the Clot, creation of the rules, updating the sheet, and posting information on the forums. This is not supposed to be a "suggestion panel" and you will be expected to bear some responsibilities if you're on the panel. If you would like to join please pm me. The Clan League Panel itself will vote on whether an applicant will be allowed to join the panel. Ethics CommitteeThe Ethics Committee nomination process will be similar to the previous season. It is to replace any empty ethics committee slots (currently one). The position is open to anyone and everyone. In order to apply, please create a mail thread with myself, Checkmqte and Farah, simple stating "I would like to be a part of the ethics committee". One of us will respond to that email with a number of questions that we kindly ask that you respond to. Cowboy > https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=9374434686Checkmqte > https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=3889221586Farah > https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=4543063534Following this clans will be able to see your answers and then have their representatives vote for their preferred candidate of choice. Audit PanelTheRiverStyxie will also be replaced. For the replacement, Math Wolf will choose a candidate then each clan can vote if they approve of him joining. There will be no application process for the Audit Panel. Thanks Cowboy

Application - Ares - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=811127254981. Provide your preferred name, names of alts with profile links and list all clans you have been involved with in the past 6 months.Tito Otit - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=1788377405Toti - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=7088395356I have been only in [Blitz] for the past 6 months. 2. Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)I have no enemies in the community, I get along with others, I can make harsh decisions easier to digest with words, I have a strong sense of morality towards the greater/collective good, I can take my time to discuss with people and finally I have an intimate relationship with logic down to a mathematical level. 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input? If a given matter had such urgency it had to be decided within less than 24 hours, but I'm unsure this is realistic. I see other people's opinions as assets and as such I would expect them to reciprocate this with me. Although working in a team has it's challenges, I'm also an avid adept of dialogue. 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react?I believe any regulative entity should be as transparent as possible, and as such I would in good faith sit to talk with those unhappy with a given decision and offer them my insight about the decision, with the goal of making people understand what the decision represents and perhaps why it was made. It's interesting to point that I don't plan on overly discussing something, as I'm aware some people just want things to go their way, and internet ambiguity aside, I'm confident I can spot a situation like that. 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)I rarely used the blacklist functionality in over 6 years and I don't think I'll ever have a reason to. If someone starts bothering me, all I have to do is turn off my phone notifications; I like to be reachable. 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?As the literature explains, conflicts are necessary for a productive activity. Any given environment with people that agree with each others all the time will sin on complacency or neglect, hindering the group's purpose. As previously mentioned, I believe in axioms and arguments to structure my point of view, which has a certain deterministic nature to it. I believe in such a panel of equals, proper communication with reciprocal speaking and listening is the best possible tool to solve a disagreement. 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)I have nothing else to add. If you need to know anything else just hit me up. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Followup Question : Do you believe there could be a situation where you need to recuse yourself for potential cases where bias may play a factor? (Main Point of Question 3)no, as much as i have friends i've always been loyal to, I wouldn't give a blind eye to certain matters... Let's assume the panel has to vote for something and the two options imply benefitting people I like/dislike* or not. My opinion on them is just not part of the equation because I believe the panel is supposed to vote on matters not people. It takes a certain maturity to be able to treat the two ends of that line* in equal fairness and to be honest I feel like i'd be comfortable in doing just that. I don't have a problem with people hating on me since I understand people, in a way. And if someone I like gives me the back for something related to that panel, I'd just live with it because well not all things go their way, just like not all things go my way. "My way" in this example can be defined as being understood by the people I care about if I happen to make them feel like they were harmed by me. If that doesn't happen, I'd just see it as their fault, since there's no right or wrong in opinions. With those points cleared I don't think there's any other situation where bias would be a thing. I hope to have convinced you that well as much as we have people we like or dislike, what has to be done has to be done.

Application - Aura Guardian - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=41273294861. Provide your preferred name, names of alts with profile links and list all clans you have been involved with in the past 6 months.Preferred Name: Aura Guardian Preferred Nickname: Aura My Profile: https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=4127329486My Alts: The Endless Zero: https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=8461366795I’m Mad Scientist: https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=80113708431Clan involvement in last six months: Fifth Column Confederation: https://www.warzone.com/Clans/?ID=17Discovery: https://www.warzone.com/Clans/?ID=3462. Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)As I am trained by my profession to be an objective and logical thinker, I capable of thinking about what my biases are and understanding how they influence me. A member of the ethics committee must first and foremost be objective, and I am capable of doing just that. As a member of the ethics committee, I promise to do my best to make decisions on the basis of the rules and only the rules. 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input? There are several: -If I am involved with the issue myself. -If my affiliated clans are involved with the issue. -If an individual within either my affiliated clans is involved with the issue. -If I am busy and do not have time to read and deliberate carefully over the situation. -Any other situation where there is a clear conflict of interest. As would be the case any of the above scenarios, and in general, if I cannot in good judgement act objectively, I will request that the panel make the decision without my input. 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react?I am a representative of the clan league panel and the community. My word is also the panel’s word. I do not act out against this criticism, nor do I respond to it on my own. I discuss the appropriate response with my fellow panelists. If the issue involves something with me personally, it is likely that they will decide that the issue should be solved without my input. Whether or not I am personally involved with the situation, I act in solidarity with the rest of the panel with a formal and professional response as needed relative to the severity and nature of the situation. Ultimately, I respect the overall decision of the panel, and not what I myself think. 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)One of warzone’s greatest challenges is getting on my Blocklist! As of now, I only have a total of two individuals on my blocklist. It takes extreme levels of cheating, racism, pm spamming, or deliberate verbal attacks to get me to block you. I have learned over the years to have a thick skin and not to care what others think of you. 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?I feel that decisions in the panel need to be made with unity as much as possible. The opinions of a single dissenter must be respected and considered. To ensure this, there are some strategies that can be employed. First, look for past decisions and try to use those decisions as precedent if the rules have not changed since that decision. Second, read the rule carefully and try to make sure everyone is properly interpreting it. Third, contact the creator of the rule, if they are active, and ask for the intended interpretation of that rule. Fourth (if appropriate) seek out clan leaders and how they feel about the issue. Fifth, while less than ideal, seek out the advice of the audit panel, and sixth, while far less than ideal, seek out a compromise between the opposing sides that both can be satisfied with, or if it is apparent at this point that the rules are unclear and vague, agree that no action should be taken on them. 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)To those who have been around for a while, understand that I will try my best to make my decisions as clean, objective, and grounded in the rules as possible. I want everyone to know that I feel no antagonism toward any clan or any long-term community member. This is an opportunity for me to support the community that many players have come together to painstakingly build over the years, and would be incredibly thankful if the community gave me the privilege of being a member of the clan league ethics panel. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Followup Question : To your answer to the sixth prompt, you give a lot of steps to take if you and another member were on a different page in terms of interpretation of the issue. How would you confront a disagreement where you felt that another member of the panel was acting with bias or acting unreasonably? To your answer to the sixth prompt, you give a lot of steps to take if you and another member were on a different page in terms of interpretation of the issue. How would you confront a disagreement where you felt that another member of the panel was acting with bias or acting unreasonably? In the case that I feel another member acting unreasonably, I must first deduce if the player is actually acting unreasonably. First, I will ask my other peers if they feel that the behavior is unreasonable. If they disagree, then I will proceed to resolve the issue in terms of interpretation as I deemed above. Otherwise, if there is consensus among the other ethics panel members that the player is acting unreasonably, the best path forward is to bring the issue to the audit panel and determine if they feel the behavior is unreasonable for an ethics panel member. If that is the case, then the decision making process should proceed without the input of the unreasonably behaving individual.

Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)Honesty,Compassion and Understanding the stands of people 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input?if the matter was proven to be too personal for myself to have an unbias opinion on a matter i would think 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react? Why Could it Happen,Very Easily as if the ethics community decided on a matter Against the popular opinion most likely they will call unfair judgement. In These Cases We Could Do 2 Things Either ignore them which would be the wrong move because they now have a reason to be suspicious of the decision or The thing you did here https://www.warzone.com/Forum/422706-clan-league-ethics-committee-announcement-3?Offset=0 as this i believe was the correct way to announce the decision 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)i dont have anyone blocklisted as i dont believe i Should block anyone the only reason you should even consider blocking someone is harrasment 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?Try To Understand Where Both Arguments Are Coming From Maybe One Side Has More Information On The Problem maybe it's Because They Are Morally Opposed To The Subject(i dont think this would happen BUT it Could happen)How To Solve it?Compromise With The Other Side as you alone cant do anything in the committee 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)i will succeed in getting to the ethics committee one way or another maybe this time maybe after 10 tries but i wont stop trying until i make it even if takes years _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow-up question : I think it's fair to say that are relatively new to the competitive scene and to the Clan League scene. Can you speak to how you think your relative lack of experience in the community would affect your decision makings and perhaps your credibility?
In your answer to number four, you give the example of the committee ruling against popular opinion. What are examples of when ruling against popular opinion is justifiable, and how would you prepare for potential backlash if you thought you were ruling against opinion?(I think it's fair to say that are relatively new to the competitive scene and to the Clan League scene. Can you speak to how you think your relative lack of experience in the community would affect your decision makings and perhaps your credibility?) Excellent question the fact that i am relatively new to the competitive scene and to the Clan League would make me a good candidate as i wouldn't have a bias towards either side i could be considered the unpolished guy the guy who doesn't have an opinion on basically anything. As For My Credibility no one should start with credibility as that is something you need to earn in my opinion so i don't worry about me being credible as credibility is earned not given. (In your answer to number four, you give the example of the committee ruling against popular opinion. What are examples of when ruling against popular opinion is justifiable, and how would you prepare for potential backlash if you thought you were ruling against opinion?) This is a question that everyone would answer differently but for me these words fit the best: Context Matters No Matter What it is The Committee would Need To Look at the rules and make their decision on facts rather than emotion personally i think this is useful sometimes but public will always react with emotion first facts later and the later the info comes it is less likely to swing the popular opinion back to the decision and if the opposition made their point sound more convincing than the committees decision the popular opinion would go the oppositions way. in this case is it justifiable to rule against the mass amount yes it is as they put emotions first facts second most of the time. How will i prepare for a backlash? I will explain my reasoning as that's The First thing i need to do secondly i need to say why i think that way as i want them to see how i myself thought of the situation . A backlash will be a lot less severe it the masses of players can see where your opinion comes from but i must acknowledge this can go both ways it can double or triple the backlash you receive if your thinking was flawed in the first place. You cant just have an opinion and don't share the evidence as a member of a committee this is how i think anyway. (If you have any questions for us, let us know.) i don't have questions right now but if i have later i will let you know Further Follow-up Question(How would you gain credibility without having an opinion on anything? Don't get me wrong, but experience outweighs lack of bias, as the rules require interpretation and knowledge of precedent from the past.) experience and credibility both require time truly earn it and of course experience outweighs lack of bias you would trust a 10 year veteran over a unpolished rookie anywhere anytime.but to the committee my lack of experience with the rules would be bad that part is true but you say as if i couldn't find threads like https://www.warzone.com/Forum/205389-cl-101outlaw-committe-discussion to learn from what happened before and we know the rules thanks to rules section on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gLYmzkBke_t1Xvwr9gyZiw8FUMdikeV5DxJOGj16fzM/edit#gid=1808272661 so i don't think "the rules require interpretation and knowledge of precedent from the past"part would be a problem as long as these type of threads aren't deleted.

Application - IRiseYouFall - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=16690100101. Provide your preferred name, names of alts with profile links and list all clans you have been involved with in the past 6 months.Preferred name: IRiseYouFall Alts: Clans: FCC, Discovery, Snakelets, EU, Acme 2. Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)I have been playing warlight/warzone regularly since 2017 and have been invested in the strategic community since 2018. I am active and online many hours a day. It is safe to assume I am highly invested and that I know most of the players in clan league and pretty much everyone has heard of me. I am aware of everything that happens and I have contacts in every clan. That makes me qualified to form a qualified opinion on every issue without needing to play "broken telephone" and learning last on what happened. 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input? No, I will always encourage maximum participation from my fellow members and myself on every issue. Everyone's input is highly valuable and we can only have a stronger panel if everyone shares his/her input. 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react? Before voting on any case, I will always get a feeling of the general consensus of the community. I will make my truthful reasoning public on every decision. I understand some players might still accuse of bias or unfair judgement as everyone has their own agenda, but I will work hard and transmit trust to the community that the panel and me personally are doing the best we can. 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)
My blacklist is empty. As an ethics panel member, I believe my responsibility is to be open to all ideas, suggestions and complaints from all members of the community. By adding players in the blacklist, I am inherently infringing their freedom by not being able to contact me. 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?Ideally, all members should vote unanimously on all issues, but in case of any disagreement within the panel, I will aim to solve it with consensus and by compromising first. Last resort would be a "50% +1" vote. 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)I am running to solve the issue that causes the most debate and drama on clan league; the rules for claiming a clan spot. My plan is: 1) Solve clan spot poaching by giving a veto to the clan leader on whether or not he/she wants to transfer the spot from the current clan to the new clan. 2) Modify the first rule in the rule sheet so the clan that loses 1/3 of the players due to retiring is still guaranteed the gained spot. 3) Make clan spot claiming illegal in the case when a clan wants a name change and when another clan wants a quick jump to a higher division. Cases when the environment in the clan is not friendly and a new clan is needed to salvage the harmony or the clan itself are exceptions (including but not limited to leadership confrontation.). _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow-up Questions : In answer #6, you state that you would attempt to get the vote to a consensus. What ways could you attempt to reach a consensus?
In answer #7, you seem to think the job of the ethics panel is to make it update the rules, this is not the case, and at most the panel can make suggestions. What would be your way of convincing the CL Panel that the rule should be updated?Follow-up #1) That depends from the situation, there's no general magic trick that does it, but my goal is to work on a solution that's best for everyone, not just a few. That can be achieved when everyone is willing to give something, is respectful and no one is afraid to express their opinions and ideas. Follow-up #2) I am aware of the responsibilities of each panel and making suggestions is a start and a good one. I have been an outsider for a while and as such, it is really difficult to make real change. The rule changes I suggested are real issues as demonstrated by multiple threads in the forum and it is in the interest of every clan for those to be reviewed and updated. Every rule change proposed is for the greater good of this competition with the only goal in mind promoting healthy competition.

Application - Master Meldarion - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=82856459371. Provide your preferred name, names of alts with profile links and list all clans you have been involved with in the past 6 months. My preferred name is Meldarion! I only have one alt, which hasn't been active for a year, by the name of Moldova - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=8194279650. Only clans I've been involved with for the last 6 months were Apprentice & Masters 2. Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)
I honestly dislike this question a lot, I hate self promotion, and am pretty much terrible at it. I feel like I'd fit in well with the ethics panel and could do an admirable job. Otherwise, judge me for yourselves and form your own opinions (: 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input? The obvious answer is personal bias, which is accurate obviously, if you are personally related to the case, or have a personal connection to people who are involved, you are not the best person to make the call. I'd add to that that if something needs to be decided on short notice and I'd lack the time to properly take in all the information necessary I'd also let the others make a decision rather than make a decision based on incomplete information. 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react? This could happen to anyone, as there are more than a few people in the warzone community who like to cause drama. Depending on the case at discussion my actions may change, but in general I'd first ask for second opinions of people I trust and my fellow panel members, before giving a single statement regarding the case, explaining my judgement and hopefully smoothing over the situation quickly and without causing more drama than already has been created. 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)My blocklist exists of exactly 10 players. 8 of those were from the time I played mostly diplo's; 6 of those were people who carried grudges from game to game and ruined more than just one, 2 are one and the same guy because he used an alt in a diplo to get ahead, the 9th is a player who attacked his teammates in a tournament, killing of his own team and the 10th is Phakh, because I did not enjoy the stalkerlike way he tried to join Masters/Apprentice. I prefer not to block list people if not necessary. 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?If it is a simple disagreement the simple solution would be to hear out both sides, hold a vote and try to move past it. If people are more strongly invested in their side of the disagreement and are not willing to let it go that easily, I'd still want to hear out both sides, but before possibly making it worse by calling a vote immediately, I'd try to find a compromise, a halfway point so to say. The most important thing is to have an open discussion without escalating the situation further. 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)I'm not sure these questions are very useful; it's mostly about being able to talk yourself up, whereas I feel like people who are serious contenders for a panel like this, will already be known by you, and you will already have a judgement about each one of us. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow-up Question : In regards to number 6, you talk about how you would reconcile a disagreement as sort of the middle man, but how would you deal with disagreement if you felt strongly in your position in opposition to another member of the committee.I am fairly certain that in any kind of bigger conflict within the panel everyone has an opinion, and I'd try to hold an open mind. If I am truly convinced I am right or am even one of the instigators of the conflict in such a hypothetical case, I'd obviously try to convince my fellow panel members by well-laid out arguments, until it inevitably would come to a vote. After that it's a matter of respecting the outcome of the vote, and posing one solid front to the rest of the community as to not cause friction and drama beyond.

Application - rakleader - https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=81368951021. Provide your preferred name, names of alts with profile links and list all clans you have been involved with in the past 6 months. My main account is rakleader ( https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=8136895102 ) and I've been in SNinja for a long time. I have another account called Leader Rak https://www.warzone.com/Profile?p=5773367540 ) who is currently in Blitz. That account used to be in the French Community until I was brutally expelled around 6 months ago. It was quite the traumatizing experience but I'm slowly getting better, thank you for asking. 2. Explain why you would be an excellent member of the ethics committee. (Maximum 3 lines)I've been an active player for years and I won't disappear out of nowhere, or wait 2 months to make a ruling like some other people. I'm the most ethical person I know, I was once ruled almost innocent by this very panel. I like to punish cheaters, especially those coming from unethical clans like Masters or Lynx. 3. If you are a member of the ethics committee what would be the possible reasons for your fellow members to decide on an issue without your input?None. 4. In the future, at one point, several people openly criticize you on the forum or on discord, including accusations of unfair judgement. Why could this happen, and how do you react? Why could this happen? Well, it could stem from jealousy towards me or SNinja. There are also some players who like to create drama. How would I react? I would tell them that my judgement is final and they should deal with it. If it doesn't blow over, I'd blame it all on my fellow committee member, Min34. 5. Who is a typical player on your Blocklist and why? (No actual player names needed)People who make me waste my time, either by not surrendering a lost game or by trying to win through a boot. 6. How would you confront a disagreement within the panel? What things could be done to solve it?If there's a disagreement, I would try to explain to my fellow committee members why they are wrong and why they should agree with me. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll have to find some way to get rid of them. 7. Place any further thoughts you may have here. (Keep it concise)
I currently have 2 436 coins. If I make it to the panel, I'll give 100 coins to every clan leader who voted for me. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow-up Questions : You seem to have an issue with Min34. I know many people do, so I understand, but for those who don't know him could you explain why you do?
Also can I get 200 coins?I wouldn't say I have an issue with Min34. I would say Min34 has many of issues, both physical and psychological. People who have met Min34 know what I'm talking about. People who haven't met him should just be grateful, and try to avoid him in the future. I strongly suspect some of those issues are related to his nationality, which is why I'm quite worried about another dutch being among the candidates. Let's not elect Meldarion. What he needs right now is treatment, not a high-stress job on the ethics committee. Yes, you can. Let's double that and make it 400 coins if you can find a good reason to drop Irise from the list of candidates. Follow-up Statement : I have met Min34 in person and I do agree with Sir Rakleader's points. Luckily for Sir Rakleader, he is in the possession of monetary funds and I have the address of Min34. If he wants me to ethically 'remove' the problem of Min34, payment will be expected.I feel it wouldn't be very ethical of me to ask you directly to 'remove' the problem of Min34. But if Min34 were to disappear, you might find yourself suddenly wealthier thanks to an anonymous donor.
