I'm very happy with mine, the ladder is the best place to test yourself but mainly it is for the luck settings I like it and being able to make tournys and big games is nice as well.

The symbol is pretty kickass...
Am a bit surprised to see someone considering it after only one multiplayer game but to each their own. Personally I'd say it's worth it for the luck factor alone.

I think it can sometimes take a few minutes to update. The other recommendation I have is to logout of WL completely and then sign back on.

Yes, definitely.
1) You are supporting the game by paying this small amount of money.
2) You can create games with less luck.
3) The option of joining the 1v1 ladders (main and seasonal) and the 2v2 ladder with a friend (has to be member).
(4) You can view statistics of a game. Only interesting but really not needed much.
Just a quick overview of the key features.

In regards to the members-only statistics, I find the 'deployed army' chart to be invaluable. Makes it so much easier to assess the strength of your opponents and the game situation in general.

I'm very happy that I bought a membership. I can create whatever games I want with whatever settings, including tournaments.
I also feel like I've gotten a whole lot more enjoyment out of this game than almost anything else I spent $30 on. It was an easy decision to support Fizzer, even if there weren't such cool perks of having a membership.
