Missed many on best ever, only have the more recent #1's. I'm sure many would vote for The Impaller, Zaeban, HHH, Gui, Psy, and many ohters I can't remember off the top of my head. Myhand should probably be in there as well.

The Impaller - Best of their time, would surely still be in contention if still playing.
Zaeban - Helped revolutionise 1v1 strategy (to an extent), when Zaeban was no.1 he was no.1
Dead Piggy - I remember seeing him with the 1v1 ladder simulator available on the wiki after 6/7 games with 100% win rate. I though, this can't be true. Yet it is!
Sze - Well known as one of the best strat 1v1 players before membership, he proved it after (winning?) a membership by smashing the ladder.

I'm missing many names (and people of many names) but I'm too lazy to write more - I don't even know why I'm doing this.

My point is there is absolutely no way to gauge the best player right now, particularly as two of the four above have retired and analysing strategies can only go so far. So long as people realise that, I'm happy with the best player poll above despite the obvious lack of meaning.
