Der Motor mit der Typenbe-zeichnung M47D20 VP44 ist eine komplette Neukonstruktion und verfügt über alle Merkmale, die einen modernen Diesel aus-zeichnen. Das beginnt im Leichtmetall-Zylinderkopf: Vier Ventile pro Zylinder, die über reibungsarme Rollenschlepphe-bel gesteuert werden, sorgen für einen optimalen Gaswechsel. Dabei wurden die beiden Einlaß-kanäle für unterschiedliche Funktionen ausgelegt: Ein Kanal ist als sogenannter Tangentialka-nal seitlich angeordnet. Er sorgt vor allem für eine gute Füllung des Zylindervolumens. Der zweite Kanal führt senkrecht von oben in den Brennraum. Ersorgt als Drallkanal für eine optimale Verwirbelung von Luft und Kraftstoffpartikeln.



Die vier Ventile machen auch eine zentrale Anordnung der Einspritzdüse möglich, was viele Vorteile in bezug auf die Verbrennung und die Abgasemissionen hat. Damit konnte ein vollkommen symmetrischer Brennraum entstehen - eine ideale Voraussetzung für hohe Leistung bei minimalem Verbrauch und geringen Emissionen.



Als erster Dieselmotor besitzt der M47 eine Direkteinspritzung, die für einen optimalen Wirkungsgrad des Motors bürgt. Das Herz der DI-Technik ist die neue Hochdruck-Verteiler-Einspritzpumpe VP 44 von Bosch. Sie produziert Einspritzdrücke von bis etwa 1000 bar. Die elektronischeRegelung der Einspritzung durch die Digita-le Dieselelektronik DDE 3.0 macht eine wei-tere Optimierung des Einspritzvorgangs möglich: Ein Zweifeder-Düsenhalter (Ein-spritzdüsen) sorgt für eine weichere Verbrennung.



Verantwortlich für die hohe Leistung und den steilen Verlauf der Drehmomentkur-ve ist auch die Technik des Turboladers: Der VNT-Lader (Variable Nozzle Turbine) besitzt eine variable Geometrie der Turbi-nenschaufeln. Die verstellbaren Leitschau-feln sorgen bei niedrigen Drehzahlen und Motorlasten für eine Verringerung des Strö-mungsquerschnitts und damit eine Erhöhung der Anströmgeschwindigkeit. Das Ergebnis: Schon im unteren Drehzahlbereich stellt der Turbolader spontan einen hohen Druck bereit, der dem Motor „Flügel" verleiht. Bereits bei 1750 U/min erreicht der M47 sein Drehmomentmaximum von 280Newtonmetern.



Die geringen Rohemissionen des Triebwerks wer-den durch einen nachgeschalteten Oxidationskatalysator (Vor- und Hauptkatalysator) und eine elektronisch gere-gelte Abgasrückführung mit Heißfilmluftmassenmesser weiter gesenkt. Zusätzlich wird beim M47 erstmals eine Abgaskühlung eingesetzt: Der AGR-Kühler ist in der Abgasrückführung zwischen Auspuffkrümmer und AGR-Ventil eingebaut. Das Abgas durchströmt darin ein Rohrbündel, das wiederum vom Motorkühlmittel durch-strömt wird. Durch diese Kühlung lassen sich die NOx-Emissionen um bis zu 15 Prozent und die Partikelemis-sionen um bis zu acht Prozent reduzieren.



Auf minimalem Niveau sind auch die Betriebsko-sten für den BMW Fahrer: Der neue 320d mit M47-Motor verbraucht im EU-Mix nur 5,7 Liter-und das bei enormen Fahrleistungen (0-100 km/h in 9,9 Sekunden, Höchstgeschwindigkeit 207 km/h). Gleichzeitig ist der Wartungsaufwand sehr gering: Durchschnittlich nur alle 22500 Kilometer ist ein Service fällig.



Die Elektronik steuert Kraftstoffmenge und Einspritzzeitpunkt: Über die Digitale Diesel Elektronik sind die wesentlichen Komponen-ten der Einpritz-anlage zu einem System vernetzt.

Yes true I read the thread title and got it confused from the word Deutsch my mistake from scan reading. My main point though was that hands vocab is very large for a non-native speaker.
