The site slowed to a painful crawl yesterday afternoon and is still having major issues. Any word on causes or solutions?

There was a large traffic spike this week which is likely the cause.

I restarted the server this morning so that should help. If it gets bad again, I have a few other things I can do to try and help.

Indeed, it's the same problem and it's just as bad if not worse today.

It's taking me 3-5 minutes to do anything. Right now WL is too slow to be useable. Is it really just traffic spikes? If you need to upgrade your server connection, maybe this would be a good time to set-up a means to make suggested donations to the improve WL's bandwidth fund. I've had more than enough fun here to make a non-deductable donation.

So far, things have been better. I got on around 2-3pm ish and it was horrendously slow. So bad, I didn't make any moves.

It seems like it's all better now, I'm no longer having any problems. Thanks for the fix, Randy.

And.....it's slow again... :(

It's been slow, but less slow than it was yesterday. Then about 2 minutes ago it went back to normal. Hope it lasts.
