For the past few months or so, I've been pondering on how Warlight could become an eSport. This becomes difficult as one of the main attributes of an eSport is watch-ability. Without a spectator mode (and no real good way of creating one), this becomes hard. However, I want to show you all that it can be done, only I'm not sure how entertaining it will be. This tournament is designed to test the waters.
The stream will be an analysis of the games after they're over. So the games will not actually be occurring the same time as the stream. This is the only way to do this, as we cannot make a workable spectator mode without compromising the fog settings. I will be experimenting later on a no-fog tournament, and we'll see how that goes.
I am in charge of hosting the tournament, creating the settings, and such. Mythonian will be running the stream. I picked Mythonian because he already hosts LP videos of Warlight on his youtube channel.

Anyways, the settings for this tournament will mimic 1v1 ladder for this first run-through. I'll take only 16 players, and if you're interested you must agree to the following:
1. You will be present at 12:00PM GMT-6
2. You will play the games real-time, even if the settings don't force you to.
If you do not follow number 1, you will not be put into the tournament.
If you do not follow number 2, the active player will advance and you will be banned from joining any other live tournaments I do.
Anyways, feel free to sign up. If more than 16 people sign up, it's fine. People will be dropping out, and I MAY make the tournament bigger if the size of the sign ups require me to.
The link to the stream will be provided as soon as we're ready to go either in a new topic or on this one, so keep your eyes peeled.
Enjoy. :)
