Devlinis, I do have to say I've been a bit more testy lately, so I do apologize about that. I moved for work, so I really miss my girlfriend and work has been stressful. I've snapped at a few people IRL, so I'm trying to be more reasonable about it and understand it's my issue, not other people's.

Yeah it's been a pretty stressful month for me too so I know where you're coming from. Honestly I enjoy a good heated online debate now and then, so sometimes I can be found startin' shit under the best of circumstances, but I don't mean it personally except for in those cases (like where Private Parts is concerned) where I make it obvious... You see a big whinefest. I see a large group of players sick of dealing with douchebag players.

Hopefully Randy will take the time to notice the problem players on the site and ban them for the betterment of all.

The grand prize for douchebaggery should go to the players who collude with their opponents and then call them douchebags for being "dishonest" in their under-the-table dealings. I applaud General and Denominator for giving them the respect they deserve.

Braveheart: I agree that I should have never teamed up with him. That was my mistake. I was new to the game and made a rookie mistake.

That being said, we had set terms of that deal and he violated them. That was dishonest. From what I can tell in this forum, he's done it to many other players, as well. Since then, the only alliances I get into are team games. I'm not letting that kind of crap happen to me again.

I would've dropped this issue a long time ago if this guy hadn't decided to go on a rampage cursing at me and disrespecting me and my family (my deceased mother in particular).

He earned my douchebag award for what happened AFTER the game and the alliance I should've never got into.

The "is collusion wrong" debate is an entirely DIFFERENT can of worms. IMO - it ain't a problem. Respond with collusion of your own.

Who said collusion is wrong? If it's not, is deception wrong? Only a douche would draw the line somewhere in the middle.

Devil - I could see the argument that if private messaging is off you should be forced to make deals in the public chat (versus privately by other means). That can be embarrassing and force you to give away information about your position as well. But fundamentally WL is a game about alliances, negotiation and deals. Play as if everyone is in the same room and you won't be disappointed.

When I first started playing I never made deals or even chatted with other plays (before there was private messaging) and I lost often. I didn't think it was wrong, I just didn't think other players were doing it so I didn't. But once I saw that other players were doing it, I realized I was massively disadvantaged to not be doing it as well and now routinely propose deals with other players.
